Months had passed. There was still no sign of Eddie Kaspbrak.
Richie Tozier wasn't doing so good. He could barely leave. Usually he would just sneak out his window but his Father has been home more then usual, meaning it was basically impossible for Richie to get outside.
School had already started back up, meaning new classes with new teachers and new students.
It was only about 5 weeks into school and Richie was already failing all of his classes. He was actually really smart and intelligent, despite his crude sense of humour.
However he hasn't been in the right set of mind recently, and that meant he was paying less attention in class then he ever has before.
The only explanation for his actions, was that fact he missed Eddie.
It was lunch time at school, the Losers were sitting at a bench in the cafeteria. Bill and Stanley were eating their packed lunches from home, while Ben, Beverly and Richie were eating cafeteria food. However, Richie had barely put a dent into his lunch.
Beverly was sitting across from Richie, "Aren't you gonna to eat that?" She said looking at him in the eyes. Richie had dark circles underneath his eyes, the others knew he hadn't been getting sleep, but only Beverly knew he had been crying. Instead of replying to her, Richie just shrugged. Beverly nodded her head and turned to the others, joining their conversations.
'Fuck. Now she thinks I'm weird' Richie thought to himself, 'Come on Richie, make a stupid joke or something!' He thought again. He wasn't able to make himself talk. For the first time in years, the trashmouth can not trash mouth.
Richie was lost deep in thought when the bell rang, snapping him out of it. Everyone started to stand up, they had already packed away their rubbish and apparently someone packed away Richie's for him. He assumed it was Ben.
As everyone made their way to the last class of the day, Richie couldn't help but wonder away. Instead of going to class, he decided to go somewhere else. Somewhere that was close to his heart.
This spot was hidden behind multiple trees, if you didn't know it was there you would walk straight past it. It was covered with flowers and mushrooms. It was basically a real life fantasy land.
This is where Richie would take Eddie.
There was no real reason as to why, the only theory is that he simply wanted to spend time with his best friend.
Richie wished that he had went there sooner. For some odd reason, he couldn't bring himself to do it. But there he was, standing infront of the old picnic blanket he forgot he left there.
He sat down, letting his legs rest on the soft ground. Richie slowly leaned back, until he was fully laying on the ground. That's when a sudden flashback came to his mind;
Richie was laughing his head off, while Eddie was trying not to smile. "Shut up!" Eddie yelled at Richie, struggling to hide his laugh. The two fell back, laying side to side. Their pinkies were almost touching each other. Eddie turned his head to Richie, however Richie kept looking up at the trees. "Do you think we'll be friends forever?" Eddie asked, making Richie finally turn his body towards him. "What?" Richie asked, confused by the sudden wave of seriousness. "It's just that.." Eddie paused and turned his head back to the trees, looking up. "We aren't always going to live in Derry. What if we don't stay in touch or something?" Eddie explained, making Richie frown even more. "Eds, you're not getting rid of me that easily." Richie winked at him. Eddie rolled his eyes and smiled, "I guess not.". The two lay there with a smile on their faces. Eddie was looking up and admiring the beautiful nature, whilst Richie was admiring the beauty of Eddie Kaspbrak.
The memory ended.
Richie sat himself up. He looked down and around, only to see how dirty this place became. If Eddie was there, it would be cleaner then a baby wipe.
Richie stood up and kept looked around with his eyes. Nothing stuck out, it all seemed normal enough. That was until a rush of wind blew up the picnic blanket, revealing an envelope. Richie picked it up and sat himself back down.
There was nothing written on the outside, the only thing on the white paper was dirty smudges.
Richie brushed off the excess dirt and started to open it. He was eager but scared to know what it contained. Non-surprisingly, it was a letter.
Richie read it outloud.
"Dear Nobody,It is me, Eddie Kaspbrak. No one will find this note so I am going to express feelings I haven't expressed before. Earlier today, Richie and I were.. cuddling? I guess..? It wasn't intimate whatsoever though! Just the friendly hugs."
Richie stopped reading outloud and continued in his head.
'Long story short, I felt something.
I don't know how to explain it or what it was but I felt something. It was like my body was about to start floating like a balloon (shit reference). I felt all tingly and like I never wanted it to end. I am almost 17 now so I should know what this feeling is, but I don't. I can't work it out and ITS KILLING ME. (again, shit reference)
I have come to a conclusion. I think I..'BANG! Richie dropped the letter, along with the envelope. Someone was near by. No one ever came over here, so he had no idea who it could be. Looking around, Richie couldn't see anyone, nor could he hear them.
Perhaps it was an animal, but there wasn't many living things around here. Other then plants and people of course.
Richie thought it would be best to go back to school. The last bell was about to ring anyways, which meant he could go home. Of course, Richie refused to make his way home. Instead he rode his bike to the Losers hideout.
School had ended about ten minutes ago and Richie had just made it to the hideout. As he climbed inside, a heap of dust went right into his face, making him cough. His cough seemed to startle someone. As he reached the ground and turned around, he was surprised to see Stanley standing there.
Stanley had a guilty look on his face and kept looking to his right. "Stan? What're you doing here?" Richie asked, walking towards his friend. "Just chilling, you know me! Stan the man!" Stanley said nervously. "Okay drop the act. What the fuck are you doing?" Richie asked, making Stanley's eyebrows go up. "Nothing!" Stanley defended. Richie walked closer to him and turned his body left. There was a suspicious figure with a black blanket over it. "You sure?" Richie asked, pointed at the human like figure. "UGH fine!" Stan walked over to the blanket and pulled it off, revealing Bill.
"H-Hi Rich." Bill said, awkwardly smiling. Richie was confused as to why he was hiding. That was until he stood up. "Holy shit!" Richie said smiling, looking at Bill. There were reddish, purplish marks all over Bill's neck. It was obvious was they were. Richie thought for a second. "Wait.. you hiding.. Stan defending.." Richie looked them in the eyes. "HOLY FUCK YOU GUYS ARE DATING!?"
Love a bit of BillxStan
