trapped.

SECOND PERSON POV

EUN-WOO STUMBLES, HALTING to a stop. He bends over, wheezing and trying to catch his breath. He had been wandering around town for hours, collecting supplies from the grocery store before coming to check on the Yoon kids.

Eunwoo had made it his mission to keep watching over them since his mom turned. So, here he is. Hunched behind a tree, looking around for any form of sign that they are here.

"Fuck," He stands upright, combing his hands through his hair. Eunwoo readjusts the backpack on his back and picks up a piece of metal on the ground.

He runs to the school in hopes of finding Y/N and Gwi-nam. He needs to make sure they were okay. They are his only family now. His mom was bitten by a zombie and turned so quickly, he couldn't even comprehend it. He couldn't bring himself to kill her. His eyes blur as he thinks back to it. Eunwoo hastily wipes away the silent tears that escaped as he runs.

You couldn't help but feel as though you had forgotten something this entire time. Your backpack rests on your stomach as you lay your head on Gyeong-su's lap. Your boyfriend looked down at you with your eyes closed, a tight grip on your bag. He noticed the tension on your face.

Your face was crunched up as you tried to think. He slowly placed a finger on your forehead, drawing a line that went down your nose bridge. Slowly trailing your cheeks and jaw. His fingers mapped out your features to relax you a little bit.

"What do you think life will be like after this?"

"Like a cure or something?" Gyeong-su questioned matching your hushed tone. You opened your eyes and looked up at him. His confused face above you with a small smile.

"Yeah, like... Do you think we're going to put our plans on pause until they find a cure? I know you wanted to work at the Lee chicken shop to save up some money." Gyeong-su sighed, reaching for your hand.

You frowned as you thought about it. The shop might not even be there anymore. Who would they feed? Zombies that don't understand capitalism?

"I can find another place to work. Who can say no to this face?" He gave you a big grin as he placed your intertwined fingers under his chin. You chuckled, shaking your head.

"I know I sure can't." Gyeong-su winks at you as you continue to laugh. His smile remains as he looks at you. Just seeing you smile and laugh like you both did before this whole thing. He would have done anything to stay in this moment with you.

Gyeong-su constantly thought about the future. He vowed to get a job or as many jobs as he could to save up money. He planned to take the civil servant exam and hopefully become a police officer. Something that could help him protect you, not that you needed it.

But he wanted you to have that security. That you didn't have to fight, he could do it for you. Be there for you, for the rest of your lives. Gyeong-su hoped you'd last that long. High school relationships were hit or miss. But he felt it in his entire being that the two of you were meant to be. Even if it doesn't work out in the end.
