Going in RPD always stresses me out, I'm a cop working on a case. But nobody helps either. And this detective that someone knew my number. Probably got it from some other dude who works here.I hope I can see the new guy soon enough and it's not even September yet. He'll be a new rookie on the team. I bet he won't even show up because he has better things to do than help out an old cop. Not to mention he might get hurt. Maybe I'll be able to catch him before his first day.The precinct was empty except for two detectives talking quietly to each other. One of them looked like he was about to burst. The other had a look like he was trying to hold himself back from doing something stupid. Something that will get both of us kicked off the force, and possibly worse. It was a look of worry. Or at least that's what I thought he was trying to portray. I couldn't tell for sure. It's just how I know him. The look said it all.He looked over at me, noticing my stare. His eyes widened and his face went white. Oh hell no! What did I just walk into?! I could feel myself shaking as I took a step away. Why am I so freaking scared when someone is looking at me?! He gave me a look that screamed sorry. Sorry for scaring you. He started walking towards me slowly."Hey Y/N!" One of the detectives said, snapping me back out of my thoughts. "You ready for your day today?""What day?" I asked, feeling more panic set in."You didn't hear?!" He exclaimed. "We got another death last night.""WHAT??!" This time I shouted. How did I miss that!? I should've listened to that fucking phone call! Now I'll never hear the end of it. And why does everyone keep mentioning 'another'. Does anybody know what's happening or are they keeping it close to their chest!? Is it even safe to be here? One of the detectives ran to a side door. "Follow me! We don't want any interruptions!" He said. I ran behind him while he explained everything. Apparently this person was stabbed to death by one of his coworkers. There were also a lot more deaths on record. Two dead cops, 3 injured civilians, and 5 missing people in the last 24 hours. So much death. If there really is one thing that I hate, it's all of these death records! Even though I know it's only the beginning of the week, I'm still stressed about these events that seem to happen every other day. I just hoped we would find some answers to what happened today. I wanted to know how it even happened, and where everybody went.As soon as we reached our destination the detective knocked on the door three times. The person opened the door. "Oh hey! Come in, come in!" He said as he stepped aside so the two detective's could enter first. As soon as we walked in my breath was caught in my throat. There was a body covered up in bandages laying on the bed. Blood dripped down the bed onto the floor. I felt like my heart would fall straight out of my chest. I couldn't move, I wasn't breathing properly. The room was cold, I felt goosebumps rise on my arms. All of a sudden, I felt hot hands grab my arms and turn me around. "Calm down, I'm right here. Everything's gonna be fine," the man who seemed to be in charge said calmly. I turned to look at him. He wasn't much older than me, maybe in his late twenties. I noticed a faint scar across his left eyebrow."You must be Y/N."I nodded my head weakly."Listen to me, okay?" He began saying softly. "It's okay to freak out but try to remain calm. Just breathe for a minute. Can you do that for me?" I stared down at him with tears welling in my eyes. I hated when I cried. Normally I never cry. When I think back, I was probably the bravest person who worked here at RPD. I guess I'm just too scared of dying to admit it. I looked at the body. I looked back at the detective and nodded my head again. He let go of me and went closer to look at the victim's body."I need you to listen carefully, okay?" He began again. "The victim is a Detective William Parker. Do you remember what name you used last night?" I shook my head no. "Okay, I'll give it to you then." I tried hard to focus on what he was telling me, but my mind kept wandering. Was this what death looked like? Did it feel like this? I was snapped out of my trance when a hand grabbed mine. Looking up at the detective, who gave me a small smile and nodded his head towards the body. I thought about Ada, I know she wouldn't do this. As if I remember from thr file Marvin handed me a while ago. It said she only killed upper class and whoever she was forced to kill by her.. bosses. "Excuse me?" I said. "Have you ever heard of this spy named Ada Wong?" He was quite shocked that came out of my mouth, but he nodded"Yeah, but what does she have to do with anything?"I shrugged my shoulders. I'm sure it wasn't anything important. Then again, it doesn't mean I can't worry about it. That means Ada's job isn't going to get done until later tonight. "Y/N?" the man asked. "Hm?" I replied with."Do you know anything about her?""Not really.." I said truthfully, which was true. But I didn't want to tell the detective about Ada's identity. I'm sure he'd just ask her why she did that, and I didn't want to put anyone else through that. It' would be like putting all of us through the same nightmare, except instead of a serial killer, we'll have to deal with a killer spy. It would be bad enough seeing Ada's murder all over the news. If I told the detective that her boss ordered her to do it, I doubt he'd believe me. And even if he did believe me, it still doesn't mean I trust him. But I guess it doesn't matter now because I'm not going to see him anymore anyways. He probably already knows who Ada is. "She's one of the best undercover agents there is," He said."Why? Doesn't she usually work alone?""No. She gets along quite well with most of her co workers except for the ones that aren't part of the crime syndicate.""So...she's not a normal spy?""Nope. She's definitely a highly skilled assassin."I was startled by the information, it started to make sense slowly. The fact that the bodies were found in different areas and no one seemed to care about the corpses. It seemed to fit with what I saw the previous night. Maybe there's more. I need to ask about this to the others. I have to tell them about this strange spy. It seems dangerous for her, and she didn't even feel scared. She's either extremely sneaky as a spy or at least a fbi agent or she's a dark assassin or maybe both! Maybe she's the real thing and they're hiding her from us? I needed to talk to someone before I exploded with worry. Who could I trust besides the guys from yesterday? The other detectives? "Y/N your failing on me again, focus on me, dear" The detective said.I snapped back to reality and nodded my head. "Sorry. I'm still thinking about what I just heard...""You shouldn't worry about it. You're zoning out because of Dectective Williams corpse.. I promise you we'll get to the end of this He gave me a reassuring smile before leaving the room and closing the door behind him. I sighed and glanced over at the body again. I could've sworn the man looked familiar. Wasn't it that guy that helped me out yesterday? I can't help but wonder who was he...maybe he's the one who made Ada kill innocent people, was he part of the mafia and Ada's boss and not a dectective."FUCK!?" I screamed, stomping my way out of the room. "Y/N are you okay!?" The dectective said."We're going back to RPD RIGHT NOW" I yelled at the top of my lungs. "NOW!"
