"So, you opened the Godcube..." Irys mused.
Irys, Gura, Amelia, Calli, Kiara, and Ina had followed Laplus back to the holoX hideout, which lay in disarray from the group's encounter with The Council.
"Yeah... we did." Lui replied, her tone almost sheepish.
"We?" Chloe repeated, her mask mostly covering the look she shot Lui.
Lui rolled her eyes, "Ok, 'I' opened it." she amended, "But Lap-chan is the one who wanted it in the first place." she added quickly.
"Oi!" Laplus snapped, giving Lui a glare.
"It's true." Lui said simply.
"Chloe and Iroha were the ones that stole it!" Laplus retorted, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Don't blame us for acting on YOUR orders! Ugh, I've got too much of a headache for this..." Iroha complained, rubbing her forehead.HoloMyth and Irys exchanged looks of varying levels of annoyance.
The blame game wasn't going to get them anywhere.
"Look, whoever wanted it, opened it - whatever, it doesn't matter." Amelia spoke up.
"The point is, what can we do to stop The Council?"
There was silence for a moment.
"There has to be something!" Gura exclaimed.
"...Maybe we just have to get stronger." Ina said after a short pause.
"What, like an anime training arc?" Calli replied, chuckling slightly at the notion.
"Well?" Ina shrugged, what else could they do?"...I could power up your weapons." Koyori volunteered suddenly.
"Hm?" Calli blinked, surprised by the suggestion.
Koyori continued, "If you each give me your weapons I could easily take them down to the lab and infuse them with tons of brand-new power It wouldn't be too hard and you could use-"
"Woah, slow down please." Kiara interrupted.
"Ah sorry, I talk really fast when I get thinking about a new project." Koyori apologized, smiling awkwardly.
"Anything will help, Koyori." Ina agreed earnestly, "But I don't know how much time we have..."
"Oh, no problem, leave it to me!" Koyori declared, her tail wagging enthusiastically.
"Trust me, she'll do everything you need and more." Chloe assured.
With that, HoloMyth handed in their weapons and let Koyori go to work.****
Baelz laughed maniacally as she floated high above the city, blasting various buildings with her Chaos Dice, enjoying the chaos that unfolded below as mortals screamed and ran for cover.
"Is all this really necessary, Bae?" Sana questioned, a slight frown appearing upon her face.
Baelz laughed once again and said, "Of course, this is part of the fun!"
"But... didn't you say we wouldn't have to harm any innocents?" The Speaker of Space asked hesitantly.
Baelz paused and turned to Sana, the rest of The Council hovering around the pair.
"Sana, you can't be telling me you actually care about mortal lives, can you?" Baelz asked seriously.
"I... I just think it's, like, a bit much, that's all..." she admitted timidly.
"Sana, I'm beginning to think you're starting to lose sight of what really matters here." The Goddess of Chaos stated, turning back to the city below to blast some more buildings.
Sana frowned, before saying, "Bae... I-"
Baelz held up a hand to silence The Speaker of Space, "Listen, we all agreed that the day we were freed would be when the mortals would pay for what they've made this world." she began, turning to look directly at Sana, "That is the plan."
"Y-yes Bae." Sana agreed quietly."Sana, what's wrong with you, seriously?" Kronii suddenly questioned, staring at the girl with a look of mild disgust on her face.
"Eh!?" She responded, completely caught off guard by Kronii's question.
"Ever since we got out of that damn cage you've been acting soft!" The Warden of Time accused.
Baelz smirked, amused as the two argued.
Sana's brow furrowed, "What are you talking about, Kronii!?" she protested.
"I'm not blind Sana, I saw what happened back there!" Kronii exclaimed.
"I... have no idea what you're talking about." Sana lied.
Kronii scoffed, "Come on Faufau, you know what mercy is." she sneered, imitating Sana's voice.Baelz's expression turned to one of mild confusion, "Wait, what are you talking about Kronii?"
"I'm talking about the fact that Sana convinced Fauna to leave one of those little brats unharmed." she spat.
"Ngh..." Sana grumbled under her breath.
Baelz's eyes flicked to Sana, her smirk returning, "Is that so?"
"I... Bae-"
"Yes, Bae." Fauna interrupted calmly, causing both Kronii and Sana to turn towards her.
"I see..." Baelz hummed, nodding slightly.
"Ah, but I was the one she managed to convince, perhaps we both deserve punishment?" Fauna reasoned quickly.
Baelz gazed at Sana, then looked at the other three women, "I'll deal with this later." she said simply, turning back towards the city as the sun began to set.
"For now... we rest, tomorrow we go after the pesky mortals who think they run the world..."
