"So... even though we did all that stuff... they're really willing to make us part of Hololive?" Baelz asked curiously.
HoloMyth and The Council were currently in the Hololive office building and, after Irys having a word with management, it seemed The Council was going to have a new place in the human world."Well, all of you have some work to do to get some of the others to trust you obviously, but the staff seemed happy to have you, especially after I offered some positive input." Irys said with a smile and a wink.
Baelz couldn't help a slight blush, "Thanks... that means a lot."
"Hololive is big on giving people a second chance, human or not." Irys continued.
"You'll all fit in just fine here, trust me."
Baelz nodded, "From this point forward, The Council is dedicated to redeeming itself, for the sake of all of us..." she stated seriously.
Everyone nodded in agreement, their faces full of determination."That reminds me..." Kronii began, turning to Amelia and Gura "I'm... really sorry about what I've done to you, both of you."
Amelia nodded slightly, holding her bandaged ribs, "Don't worry about it... I think I'll try to be more respectful of the timelines from now on." she smiled sheepishly.
Kronii smiled, At least one of your species is working on improving." she added with a chuckle.
Gura, however, despite giving The Warden of Time a small smile, clearly was going to need some time before she really trusted Kronii."Ah... Ina?" Irys turned towards the priestess.
"I'm sorry about lying to you... and to all of you really." she apologized, guilt written all over her face.
Calli smiled, "Hey don't sweat it, it's the past, we live in the present now, right?"
Irys nodded, "Right, thank you..."
"Of course, it's going to take a bit to become as close as we were, Irys." Ina admitted, "But I still consider you a friend."
"Thank you." Irys breathed out, smiling genuinely.
"Well, Irys? Can you show me around a bit, I want to see what this place is like if we're really going to be working here!" Baelz piped up excitedly, breaking the silence that had formed.
Irys and Baelz bid everyone goodbye for now, and turned to leave the room, a twinge of renewed guilt pulsing through Calli as she noticed the large scar on Irys' back.
"You'll have to explain how she got that to her eventually..." Fauna told Calli softly once she was sure Baelz and Irys had left.
"I know... But I'm not ready, not until she is..." Calli replied quietly.
There was silence for a moment.
"Say, what happened to those other girls you brought to fight us?" Kronii asked curiously.
"Oh, holoX? I assume they went back to their base." Amelia answered.****
"Okay, from now until I say otherwise, no plans involving ancient artifacts." Laplus instructed as soon as her, Lui, Koyori, and Iroha had entered the holoX hideout.
"And I'm never going to say otherwise." she added, realizing they had never put the hideout back in order after The Council had wrecked it.
"Where's Chloe when you need her?" Lui sighed.
"She said she was going to join us eventually." Iroha shrugged.
"In the meantime I'd like you guys to start cleaning this place up." Laplus ordered.
"Hey now, you're not just gonna watch us, Lap-chan." Lui said, grabbing the girl's arm and tugging, "This is your hideout too."
Laplus pouted but relented, "Fine..."****
"Just promise me you and your friends will stay out of such dangerous situations in the future, alright?" Noel asked.
"We will." Chloe replied, though she knew that if anybody was going to get into another dangerous situation, it was going to be her and the rest of holoX.
"Good." Noel sighed, "Because honestly, fighting Gods?"
"I get it, Mom!" Chloe rolled her eyes, a small grin gracing her features.
"Now I gotta go, we never fixed the hideout!"
With that, Chloe was out the door of Noel, Flare, and now her, humble home.
Flare chuckled, "Your going to be a good mother, Noel, you already have the nagging down perfect."
"Shut up..." Noel muttered halfheartedly, watching Chloe leave from the front window.
Flare laughed again, "I am serious though, you'll be a good mother." she assured Noel, wrapping her hands around her lover's waist from behind and resting her head on Noel's shoulder.#A/N: And there you have it folks, my first full-fledged story.
Sorry if the ending disappointed you or if it wasn't the greatest overall, but if for some reason you enjoyed this, I plan on writing a sequel to this at some point in the near future.
I'm sitting on a lot of ideas that I think could be interesting so I hope you'll give them a read once I've put them into words, cheers! #
