season 1, episode 3
Riley and Charlotte stood side by side discussing where they would like to volunteer for outreach day.
"I want to get the bookstore. It's my favorite place in Jericho and Grant is really nice" Charlotte rambles with a smile on her face.
"Grant? As in Grant Wells?" Riley asks. Her eyebrows raising slightly while waiting for an answer.
"Yeah, why?" Charlotte asks confused.
"Nothing, he's just weirdly nice" She says while slightly pursing her lips. Charlotte laughs. "You say that like it's a bad thing"
Ajax overhears the conversation and immediately deflates. Every possible scenario that could happen with Charlotte and Grant at the bookstore cloud his mind. Xavier looked over to the Gorgon boy to see a troubled look on his face.
"What's wrong?" He asks. Ajax looks at him and just shrugs it off. Xavier decides to drop it, but next to him Ajax was full of jealousy and sadness. He knew one thing though. He could not let Charlotte be alone with this Grant guy.
"All students will report for their volunteer jobs at 10 am sharp, followed by a community lunch at 1" Weems voice says grabbing everyone's attention. "As you know, this year Outreach Day culminates in a very special event, the dedication of a new memorial statue in the town square, which will also include performances by Nevermore students. As representatives of our school, I trust you will all put your best face forward." Weems explains.
Charlotte eagerly takes the envelope that is passed to her by Mrs. Thornhill. She opens it swiftly seeing words that she didn't want on her paper. 'Pilgrim World' were the two words on the paper. Charlotte sighed and looked to RIley. The ginger turns hers around to show 'Weathervane' written on her card. Charlotte scoffs.
"At least you'll be with Tyler. I have no one and Lucas and his friends work there" Charlotte slightly whines. She isn't usually a whiny person, but desperate times call for desperate measures. RIley laughs and pats her friend on the shoulder.
Ajax looks up from his card with a smile on his face. He looks over to Charlotte to see her already looking at him. He smiles even bigger and she looks down feeling flustered. A frustrated sigh leaves the mouth of Xavier causing Ajax to look away from Charlotte.
Charlotte watches as Xavier tries to get Ajax to trade with him. She laughs at the two boys before bidding goodbye to Riley and going over to the two.
"Hello boys" She says making her presence known. "Hey" Xavier says moodily. "Hey, Char" Ajax replies with a big smile on his face.
"What did you get?" Xavier asked the girl. She sighed irritatingly. "Pilgrim World" Ajax loses his smile noticing they won't be outreaching together. Xavier, however, scoffs and chases her around trying to get her to trade.
