She pulled me off of the floor, practically dragging me to the door. She turned back to see me struggling to keep up with her as we ran through the corridor. Suddenly I walked into the back of her as she froze. Froze for what?
I looked ahead of me to see her standing at the corner of the wall, with the axe to her chest. Suddenly, I heard heavy footsteps running up the corridor towards us. The woman then launched herself from hiding and swung her axe at whatever was about to reach us. Before she could land the axe to implement damage to the cause of the noise, she swung too forcefully and smashed it into the wall, completely missing.
"Listen here young lady, if you're going to swing an axe swing it right" he said, staring at the axe now impaled into the wall.
"Now you listen here, i know how to swing an axe... you need to learn how to get hit by one" she said with a smirk on her face
"Sorry to interrupt but can we please get moving" I said, peering over her shoulder.
They both turned to glare at me before the woman began giving the found stranger one last look and a stern squint while trying to remove the axe from the wall using her foot as leverage, practically hanging on the wall.
The man nudged his way past me, to make his way away from the room he had previously exited. We watched as he rolled a hospital bed to block the door, as if he was hiding something or someone in there. The woman gave me a confused look as she gave up on her axe.
Gunfire was heard ablaze in the corridor next to us; growls echoed through the corridors and sirens were heard in the distance, we weren't safe here. It was now or never if we wanted to make it out alive. As the three shared concerned glances, the man shoved us towards the exit. We saw the illuminated green exit sign flicker as we began coming close to freedom. Suddenly a small capsule was thrown from behind us, flooding the room with smoke. gargled shouting, screaming bloody murder, bounced on the walls behind us. A walker emerged from the smoke tossing itself on me trying to bite my neck.
"Man? Lady? Help me! Please!" I screamed as I fell to the floor, the monster falling with me.
The woman, also helpless, grabbed onto the walker, lifting it up like a stray cat.
A gunshot ringed my ears as the walker's head exploded onto the walls and us. leaving me covered in thick, brown, clotted, decaying blood. The smell was horrendous as it lingered into my nostrils.
"I had that!" the woman growled at the man, while yanking me up from the ground.
"Yeah, it looked like it," he said in a cocky tone, pushing me through the exit.
"I can fucking walk myself thank you" i moaned, finalling having enough
I had legs... they just didn't notice through their egotistical argument of who had the bigger balls and longest cock.
As the blinding light stabbed me in the eye, I saw smoke build up as it puffed from distant buildings. Sirens; screams; gunshots and screams were all I could hear. It hurt my head, all of it did. It happened all too fast. The man pulled us to the side towards a red car with a woman and child sat in it.
"Quick get in if you want to live" he barked, pointing to the vehicle.
|"no way hosay, looks like you've already abducted those two. I'd rather not be your next victim" she fought back
"My name's Shane, not Hosay" he spoke confidently while tossing us in the back with the kid.
Turns out we're not always alone.
