3rd POV:

They were sent their uniforms in the post and when they looked at them together they realised the theme. The ocean, they had to be sailors. They didn't know that when they applied because the place doesn't open for another week.

The kids had tried to make fun of them but they all stopped as soon as the two of them told them they wouldn't be getting any free ice cream.

Dustin is the only kid that doesn't know they got the job there because he had gone to a science camp for the summer. He was a little sad about not being able to spend time with Steve and Ivy now that he was going to camp but he was also really excited about the camp. Steve and Ivy both told him not to worry about it and to have fun at camp, he'll be back three weeks before school starts again, they can hang out then. That defiantly cheered him up.

------

The next week came and it was their first day. Hopper wanted to drop them off, wanting to remember the day his daughter got her first job. He told them he would be there at 8pm, closing time, to pick them up. They had a full day of 12 until 8 and they were a little bit worried. Neither of them had a proper job before so it was all a little much but they had each other and that's all they needed.

They walked in there, hand in hand, and went to the door that lead through the back. When they got in there was someone already sitting at the table. She was in the same uniform as Ivy and she had her Walkman playing in her ears. The two of them walked around the table and took a seat opposite the other girl, waiting for her to pause her music. Which she does as soon as she sees them.

"Hey, I'm Steve, this is Ivy" He says, introducing them. Ivy gives her a kind smile and a wave, making Robin smile back at her.

"Hey, I'm Robin." She says.

"So, I guess we'll be working together." Steve says.

"Hope it isn't too hard for you, Harrington." She says.

"You know me?"

"We've gone to school together since first grade." She tells him.

"Oh, shit. Sorry. I don't recognise you."

"Obviously you don't. You're with all the cool kids and I am a band geek." She says.

"Well, You're not in school anymore so that shouldn't matter." Ivy says to Steve.

"Right, yeah. I don't care about that stuff anymore." Steve says.

"Really, Steve 'The Hair' Harrington doesn't care that I am a band geek." She says in disbelief.

"Yeah, seriously. I think we could be good friends." He says.

Robin waits for a minute, looking at Ivy and then at Steve. She notices the way he is with her and sees that maybe he has changed.
