Gorou's POV
"Hey, I'll let you go man. Good luck bro, stay safe."
"You too, bud. Tell your little man I said hi."
"Will do. Sayōnara."
"Sayōnara." He hung up, humming as his hand moved from my hair to my back.
"So why're you eavesdropping, baby?"
"I didn't wanna interrupt... Who was that?"
"My brother. Er, well, technically half-brother, but that's dumb."
"Am I your little man?"
"...I might've been rambling about you for a while. Just a little bit." He didn't seem mad or upset at me, but there was a look on his eyes I couldn't ignore. He just let me brush some snowy hair out of his face, allowing me to hold his face in my hands again.
"Are you okay...?"
"I guess. I just feel... Weird."
"What kind of weird?"
"I... I kinda want... Something."
"We're already at the market, so it shouldn't be too hard to find."
"No, I mean...! Look, here." I obviously hadn't expected him to pull me into a full, warm, passionate kiss. We wouldn't have separated if a knock at the door hadn't startled me into biting his lip. "I'm sorry. I don't know how to explain..."
"It's okay baby. I'll figure it out. So, uh... T-The door?"
"...Hello?"
"You can't sleep here. Stop loitering!" Of course it was a security guard. I had to sit there and explain "hey, no, sorry, we were just discussing dinner" while Itto got dressed. Neither of us really wanted to sit down in public for steak, so instead, we bought drinks, a order of loaded spuds, and cherry turnovers - all because I kept glancing at things I wanted. He also insisted on letting me pick anything I wanted from the toy store - he just had to clarify "the regular one" - to make up for "all the gifts I'd given him." I picked a little squirrel plushie, snuggling it as we walked out.
"What gifts? I'm pretty sure you've given me far more."
"I gave you, like, three things and my dick. You've given me way more."
"Okay, but what if I'm don't like gifts?"
"...Tell you what smarty-pants - I'll cover whatever you want with my scent to make up for embarrassing you. Fair?"
"I'm not embarrassed! You're just too good at reading me." I wish I'd packed some clothes. These uniforms aren't very comfortable. He was looking over my face again and I knew I'd fucked up - he led me towards a clothing outlet, smiling slyly while I blushed. "Alright, look, fine - I want that, but not because I'm super embarrassed. I just want an actual nest."
"You didn't explain that."
"...It's a safety thing. Being surrounded by things that smell like my loved ones makes me feel protected, like I'm getting a big hug. Like everything'll be okay because, hey, everything smells familiar, so how could I not be safe? Does that make sense?"
"...I'll start leaving clothes in my van more often. For now though, we need to get better clothes for a date."
"...I wanna let you pick."
