Gorou's POV 

     "...What?" I just waited for his touch to become rough, for him to shove me into the road or something - instead, he gently grabbed my chin and turned me back to face him. "Puppy, c'mon now - what happened to not thinking so hard?"

     "...You're not mad?"

     "Not at all. Are you okay? I mean, obviously not, but I... Um... No, I'm not mad."

     "...You're really not mad?"

     "Puppy."

     "Right, right, sorry!"

     "Are you okay? Do you feel any better?"

     "...A little. Knowing makes me feel a little better, but I-I need to make another phone call."

     "Of course. Where do you wanna go?"

     "...I guess my nest was a sign, huh? My nesting instincts were never that strong." He just nodded, leading me away again to his van - he'd allowed me to set up a mini nest in there. He stood beside the door, waiting until I patted the floor beside me to hop in, close the door, and settle beside me, immediately pulling me into his lap. At some point, the asshole had figured out how much I liked him licking my ears, so as I sat there trying to type the number, he was just grooming my ears and trailing his hand through my hair - was his other hand against my stomach on purpose?

     "Do you want me to talk at all?"

     "Um... I can poke you if I need help?" He seemed content to keep me calm - he was definitely rubbing my stomach a little, nuzzling my neck with a flustered grin. I just waited for the call to connect.

     "Kon'nichiwa?"

     "Toshihiko?"

     "Ah, General Gorou! How have you been?"

      "Not so good - care to explain why I'm pregnant?"

     "...You had sex?"

     "You know damn well what I mean!"

     "...Oh my Archons, you've got a mate! Congrats -"

     "Toshihiko, I swear to Celestia, if you don't explain why, I will skin you alive!"

     "Gorou..." Itto rumbled against my neck, a warning hidden under his exhausted voice.

     "...Fine, I won't, but I will sue for medical malpractice if you don't explain."

     "Calm down. I explained this after your surgery - if you mate-marked someone, I could do nothing but perform an abortion."

     "A what?"

     "Termination of the pregnancy. I told you all of this."

     "After my surgery! I was drugged!"

     "I thought "hey, he just woke for a battle and fought fine, he's probably fine to sign paperwork" - I apologize, but I have the paperwork for a lawsuit."

     "You're an awful doctor and a terrible comrade."

     "...I know. I'm sorry. Do you want to terminate it? Free of charge, of course!"

     "I... One second." He hummed an "okay" and I muted the phone, turning just enough in his arms to get his attention. "...You're the other father. Do you think we should terminate it?"
