THOMAS AND I walked over to where Minho, Newt and Frypan were sitting on some rocks a little higher than the camp. I held his hand in mine.

After we kissed again, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Thomas, the guy I knew simply as the new Greenie just a few weeks earlier, asked me to be his girlfriend.

I said yes, obviously.

We sat down and Thomas' hands went into the pockets of his jacket where he pulled out the wooden figure that Chuck carved back in the Glade.

I missed that kid. He didn't deserve what Gally did to him. He didn't deserve to die. He deserved to be here with us.

"I wish Alby could've seen all this." Newt broke the silence.

"And Winston." Fry agreed.

"And Chuck." Thomas spoke softly.

"He'd be proud of you, you know, Thomas." Newt told him.

Thomas looked at Newt and then back down at the wooden man. "Yeah."

"Hey, Aris!" Frypan called out to the boy who was sat with Sonya and Harriet below us.

"Hey, guys!" He waved back.

"I kinda like that kid." Fry said to us.

"Yeah. I still don't trust him, though." Minho smiled and we all chuckled.

"Hey, where's Teresa?" Thomas asked and I looked around, realizing our friend was nowhere around.

"She went up there." Newt pointed to where Teresa was standing by a cliff nearby.

"I'm gonna go talk to her." Thomas stood up and kissed the side of my head, making me smile. My eyes followed after him as he walked away before I looked back at Minho, Newt and Fry, who were all staring at me.

"What?" I asked, looking between the three.

"I'm gonna throw up."

"What do you mean 'what'?"

"I knew it."

"Did he just kiss you? That's disgusting."

"Oh, my God." I rolled my eyes.

"I knew it." Minho shrugged, repeating his words.

THE FOUR OF us were talking and laughing for a while when Newt spotted the distant lights coming from the other mountains by the horizon just after the sun had set. When we heard the whirring, we immediately knew it was a problem.

We jumped up as the helicopters got closer, running down to the main camp. The helicopters got there first, shooting some kind of missiles at the tents and cars, creating massive explosions.

People were running around screaming while others grabbed guns and prepared to fight back. Smoke billowed around, which caused me to cough as we ran.

WICKED guards then dropped from the helicopters with their taser guns again and they started shooting around.
