CLAY'S POV
"On the real bra, I don't have shit to say. For the first time, I'm speechless" I spoke as we sat in the hospital as Dede was waiting for his discharge papers.
"Bra, I know this a sensitive subject, but what you plan on doing about my sister" Dede spoke.
I sat quiet as I remembered hearing a gunshot go off as if it was a few inches from my head, then I turned to see Lovely drop to the ground. In my mind I was planning to help her, but the anger in me wanted to end that bitch ass mayor's life. And the fact that he got away and Cole saved Lovely made me feel like shit. I was pissed off at her for betraying me, but I still loved the shit out of her and it killed me.
" I don't know bra, first I have to find her. It's been two days since the shootout and with the mayor still alive we need to be on lock down until we get shit back going."
"Yea, I feel you, so we brothers. Who would have ever thought? My moms got some explaining to do" Dede spoke.
"Yea, but in my case, Cream got some explaining to do. I think your momma started back drinking the night she moved in my house with Lovely. She saw Cream and she's been acting weird ever since. My mind been piecing shit together since that day, but I still have a lot of unanswered questions, you know what I mean?" I asked Dede.
Just then the nurse walked in and handed Dede his papers.
"You are free to go now" the nurse said.
I helped Dede up as we began to walk the hallways of the hospital to exit. We were walking slowly down the hall since Dede's cripple ass looking at all the nurses. I was shaking my head at him when I looked to my left to see room 34A with the name Lovely James written on the door. I reacted by busting in the room to see her laying there, sleeping peacefully with her shoulder bandaged up. I don't know what happened but I lost it.
"Lovely, get up" I said trying to wake her.
"Yo bra, what you doing?!" Dede yelled as I flipped the switch that cut off all her machines.
"Grab that wheelchair bra" I spoke as I unplugged all that shit from her body.
I started to breathe again as none of the machines made a beeping noise. I picked Lovely up in my arms as she started to wake up.
"Clay, what are you doing?" she whispered.
"Shhhh... be quiet baby. I'm taking you home" I replied as I gently placed her in the wheel chair, wheeling her out of the hospital to take her home.
I placed Lovely and Dede's crippled asses in the car, then I sped off towards the house. I glanced at Lovely to see her staring out the window in deep thought. She needed to be because she had some shit to clarify with me and today will be the day. We pulled up to the house and I picked her u, carried her to the bedroom, and placed her in the bed.
