AXEL'S POV

"Axel."

I looked up from my math homework that I was doing during lunch so I wouldn't have to do it at home. Once I realized that it was only the handsome, daring, sarcastic, sexy man beast that I had been crushing on for the past few weeks, I looked back down to my homework and continued it. "Yes, George?" I said.

"Do you know what's strange?" He said, taking a sit next to my on my (later re-named our) special place on the roof. I took a bite from my apple and when I finished chewing said, "That zebras are really fashionable horses with Mohawks?"

"Well, yeah," He laughed "but something else."

"What?" I replied.

"It's strange how you always are quick to say your straight, but you have a huge crush on me."

My eyes opened wide and I dropped my apple, staring at him awkwardly. "I have a what on you?!"

"No. No,no,no,no.no. I think you  have me mistaken for the girls that always stalk you throughout the day. I DO NOT like you in that way." Why are you lying to yourself? "I don't like guys." Lying is supposed to be bad. "And especially," Remember? "not you." Sigh.

George was laughing. "Dude, I was kidding." He gave me a smirk. "Of course you wouldn't be gay, I mean you had a girlfriend at one point, right?"

I looked back at my homework. "Who told you that?" I sharply said.

"Your brother. The freshman with the emo clothes and the red beanie and shoes."

"Yeah I know what he looks like" I picked up my apple. "He is so dead."

"Hey, give the kid a break, I mean, I kiiinnnnddd of forced him into telling me..."

I glared at him, giving him my trademark 'tell me or your dead' look. "And what exactly did you say, my dear friend?" He gave me a guilty look "Um, well, I may have sort of said that I would tell his or, I guess your, parents that he was dating an insane boy who is four years older then him..." He gave me a guilty smile.

"Your sick." I said, continuing my math homework.

I finally, FINALLY, thought I was getting over this creepy little boy crush by three weeks into our friendship. But, sadly, these abnormal feelings were recognized once again. When George kindly asked me to come over to his house to help him study for a science test.

"Y-your house?" I asked, I really wish I didn't act so nervous over a little thing like this. I mean, normal friends did things like this all the time, right? Agh, I'm so not normal.

"Yeah, my house. Why, do you have issues with other peoples homes or something?" He looked at me suspiciously.

"No! no, its just...I haven't been to anyone's house before..."  I really need to stop lying so much, but, what was I supposed to say? 'Aww no man, sorry I cant come to your house because I'm afraid that we'd end up making out on the floor'? No. Just, no.

"You'll be fine, Ax! Trust me, my parents are like, ultra super mega nice to strangers." George said, interrupting my thoughts.

"Good to know." I said. I was about to say more but the librarian shushed me, even though Her, George and I were the only ones in the dusty room. George gave me a pleading stare and wrote something on a piece of notebook paper before handing it to me. I looked at it and 'Plz?? I'm going to fail if you don't help me!!! :(' was written across it.

I sighed. "Fine, Ill help you, I'm warning you though, I'm really awkward around adults."

"YAY!!" He yelled and hugged me across from the circular table.

The librarian shushed us again...
