I wandered around the halls while the ghouls were at practice. I made sure I was invisible so none of the people could see what I look like. I don't even know if they know there is a ghost in the same building as them.
I went up to the library to see what was happening up there and to practice moving a book that was left out.
I floated up from the basement to be met with bright sunlight from the windows. I winced at the shock of the light before my eyes adjusted. I looked around for a bit before finding a book laid out but it was behind two people talking about Lucifer knows what. I didn't want to truly disrupt them but I also would find it a bit funny to see there reaction.
I moved closer to the table just looking at the book, desperate to make it move. I looked up at the two girls who were clearly both higher ups because of the nun like uniform that they were both wearing. It wasn't exactly a habit but it was close enough.
I stepped closer to the book and the two women who were talking. I focused all my energy to my hands but was careful enough to not make them visible. I placed my hands on the book and pushed it off the table. I took a step back and admired my work along with the look on the two girls faces.
Pure shock and fear. I had to bite my lip to contain my laughter.
"What was that?" The shorter one whispered with panic.
"That wasn't you?" The taller panicked.
"No!"
"This place has got to be haunted."
"I mean it is an old church. It's just I've never heard anything like this happening."
"Maybe there is a book on it?" The taller proposed.
"Maybe."
The ghouls have gotten out of practice a while ago. I was sat in the living room with them. They knew I was here but just couldn't see me. We were all sat on the couch with the exception of Dew. He was stood over in the kitchen just staring at us as we watched the tv.
"Come on man, come watch this show with us!" Swiss called out to the short ghoul.
"Eh, I'm not the biggest fan." Dew waved off as he ate his snack.
"Bull shit! Last month you said you really enjoyed it." Aether argued.
"Yeah, but the director got lazy with it all and it's all fucked."
"Wanna watch The Office again?" Mountain asked sounding like he already knew the answer. A sea of yeses flooded the room and Moutan took the remote from the table and turned it on. At this point Dew walked over and sat down right besides me.
"Hey Dove." He grumbled lowly. It must've been obvious I was next to him because of the random coolness that surrounded me at all times.
"We haven't watched this in a while!" Cirrus piped up, moving around a bit to get more comfortable.
"Dove, have you seen this show?" Mountain asked looking at where I was sat but not exactly looking in my eyes.
"Uh, not yet." I fiddled with my hands.
"Oh, you're gonna love it!" Swiss smiled and clapped his hands together. Rain the grabbed the remote and put it on.
They were right. It was a really good show. We finished the second season right before dinner. Everyone began to get up so they could go to the cafeteria. I stood up and began walking to my room before everyone fully got up.
"Wanna come with, Dove?" Swiss asked turning around behind him to look at the couch that I wasn't on anymore.
"Uh, sure I'll go." I spoke from the doorway.
"How did you get up so fast?!" Swiss's tail shot straight up then turned around.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"Come on, let's go, I'm starving!" Exclaimed Dew and he started out the door.
"Didn't he just eat?" Rain pointed in the general direction of Dew.
"Yup." Mountain shrugged.
We walked down the hall and made our way up the stairs to the cafeteria. The ghouls were cracking jokes the entire time and talking about what Copia put them through today.
"What did you do today, Dove?" Aether asked, still trying to calm down from his laughing fit.
"I scared these girls in the library by moving a book." I smiled a bit at the memory.
"You can move things now?" Rain asked both shocked and happily.
"Only small things, but yeah." I felt myself go warm.
"That's amazing!" Swiss yelled a little bit louder then we were all expecting. "I'm coming with you next time. That sounds like so much fun."
"You should. The look on their faces was amazing." I giggled.
"You two are gonna get in trouble." Mountain pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Yeah but it will be worth it." Swiss smirked.
"I'm joining you two!" Sunshine piped up.
"Wonderful, let's do it tomorrow. We don't have practice." Swiss laughed to himself.
"I'm excited." I said as we made it to the cafeteria.
