It's always cold in the ministry. But now it was truly starting to bother me, I was constantly uncomfortable, never in pain though. That would be silly. I thought it was a problem that only I had but seeing as how Rain shivered this morning with a blanket and hot coffee on the couch I knew I couldn't be the only one. I forgot what it's like to be warm, truly warm. Sure I've been around Dew and his warmth but not having body warmth is inconvenient. This whole being dead thing is inconvenient.
"Rain?" My voice wavered. He let out a hum, looking in my general direction, like everyone always had.
"What's up?"
"Do you want me to move? I feel bad."
"No you're good."
"DOVE!" A frantic Swiss yelled, running into the room. It frightened me so much I jumped and became visible. "Woah, sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you."
"It's okay Swiss. What's got you all excited?" I asked, looking in his direction seeing he was standing in the doorway with a smirk plastered on his face. I could already feel a pit in my stomach forming.
"Dew put a bucket of water over the rehearsal room door and soaked me earlier this week and he was expecting me to get revenge but I waited wanting to catch him off guard. He finally doesn't have his guard up and I really want to get revenge on him." Swiss said, still smirking in my direction. He extended a hand toward me "You wanna use your powers to help?"
I stood there in deep thought while Rain shot me a cautionary glance. I really wanted to make Swiss wait to see if he would offer up a plan.
As if he read my mind he put his arm down, rocked back on his heels and laughed "I want you to throw stuff at him to lure him into a room where I'd have a bucket of ice water waiting in return."
"Use dirt too. He cares about his hair too much to just do water. You have yourself a deal though." I said, extending my hand. He went to shake it and the hand floated through my own causing us both to laugh.
"I sometimes forget you are a ghost and I can't touch you." Swiss said after he calmed down.
"I'd imagine just like her ability to pick things up and move them over time she could make herself less phantomized and more human-like." Rain had butt into the conversation huddled in his cocoon on the couch.
"I definitely will have to read into that because some sense of normalcy would be great." I said with a smile "but for now let's go plan this."
"Let's go to my room and do it." Swiss said as I once again disappeared but followed the tall ghoul into his room.
His room was just as cold as everywhere else in this ministry but I didn't say anything. His room was very cozy though. There were stringed lights hanging from the ceiling and huge black fluffy blankets on his bed. There was a desk in the corner filled with a bunch of knick knacks and trinkets that suited the multi ghoul very well.
"So here is what I'm thinking." Swiss hopped onto his bed. "Dew likes to practice guitar by himself in the practice room and he leaves the door open a bit. So what we could do is put mud in a bucket over the slightly open door then; because I'm impatient and want to see his reaction, you should get some books to throw across the hall to lure him out and open the door." A huge smile came onto his face. For a second it was like I was staring into Kek's eyes all those years ago. It was like seeing his face. His dark skin that was almost human looking but in the right lighting there was a twinge of gray to it. His eyes glowed purple with yellow sparks in them. We would always plan out pranks like this. Mostly on Azar because he was the funniest person to pull them on. He would always find a way to get us back for them, furthering the "war" we had.
A grin formed on my deformed mouth but I couldn't help it. I was gonna be pranking Azar's brother, something I've always planned on doing and now it's finally happening.
I stood in a trance reminiscing on all the pranks I played on Azar and his reactions wondering if few would react the same or look much like Azar because he so closely resembles him. I met his eyes "I love that idea!"
