    Dove pov

I shivered at the cold that now was a permanent problem of mine. I didn't want to be here. I missed my ghoul and demon friends. I mean sure these ghouls are nice (If you exclude Dew.) but I don't know anything anymore. Everything is so advanced and it's scary. I cant even do anything besides be cold and go invisible on command. But being invisible is easy it doesn't take any energy to go invisible but it does to show myself. I'll probably spend most of my time invisible to not hurt their eyes as much as I did. I don't blame Dew for what he said, I do look scary. I'm translucent and bloody. The slits on the side of my mouth didn't help at all either.

I left my room to see Aether and Dew standing in the kitchen. I moved closer to listen in on there conversation.

"You should really apologize to her."

"I didn't fucking come out of my room to get fucking scolded!" The voice of Dew whisper yelled.

"I don't understand what your problem with her is she had done nothing wrong!"

"I don't understand why you people are taking her in so quickly. We don't know her."

"Dew she came back from the dead because of us it is the least we could do is be nice to her and let her stay till her friends come back for her."

"Her friends aren't coming back for her! They would've come back by now for her but clearly there is something up that they haven't!" Dew retorted his tail angrily flicking around.

"Dew we don't know the reason why her friend have yet to come back so don't go assuming anything." Aether's tail now was flicking angrily as well.

Dew's reasoning made sense though. Why haven't they come back. I mean they were probably busy and had made other friends. Besides I was dead I'm sure they still thought of me but they just had to move on. I understood why.

He is just like Azar. I giggled as I saw little ember shards radiating off of him in anger. They both looked at my direction at the sound that escaped my mouth.

"The fuck was that?!" Dew sounded spooked.

"Oh, I don't know Dew, maybe there is now a ghost in the fucking dens now!" Aether whisper yelled at the fire ghoul.

"Is she listening to our conversation?" He asked.

"I don't know." Grumbled Aether. I backed up into the doorway of the kitchen so it would look like I had just showed up when I made myself visible.

"Hello gentlemen how are you this fine morning?" I asked pretending to not hear there conversation they had just two minutes ago. Aether startled by the echoing voice behind him jumped a bit and his tail went stiff. "Oh my apologies I didn't mean to frighten you." I apologized at the frighten ghoul.

"No need to be so formal ,bird." Dew spat earning a smack from Aether.

"I don't know what you mean I'm sorry." I apologize not understanding what 'be so formal' meant.

"What he means is people don't talk the way the used to two hundred years ago." Aether spoke apologetically.

"Oh that makes sense I think I gathered that." I laughed a bit at the realization my hand grazing the back of my neck.

"Stop smiling!" Cried Dew and my face dropped.

"Sorry." I muttered.

"Why are you all up so fuckin early." Groggiled Swiss walking into the common room rubbing his unmasked  face. He was a handsome ghoul with short curly hair and glowing amber eyes and gray skin. He then looked up and saw me standing in the kitchen with his eyes going wide. "Shit my apologies." Swiss panicked running back to his room to get his mask. I put my hand up to my face and chuckled.

"Do you have to wear the masks when you're down here by yourselfs?" I questioned.

"Normally no, if we know that humans aren't coming down but today we don't know because we think Sister Imperator is coming down here for something. We don't know what yet." Aether explained.  I hummed understandingly.

"Who is Sister Imperator?" I asked.

"Oh, she runs this whole church." Aether replied and I nodded understanding.

I saw Dew standing in the corner of the kitchen by the coffee maker holding a cup of the warm drink. He was still fuming with little ember shard as he grumbled something to himself. It reminded me a lot of my old friend Azar. He was a fire ghoul too, he was one of my best friends and we did everything together. He didn't really like me at first but all his other friends liked me so he would suck it up. Eventually we grew closer and closer and we would hang almost every day.

"Are you okay, Dew?" I asked with my echoed voice.

"Like you would fucking care! Dumb bird." He spat and walked away with the room getting colder when he left. I let out a shiver at the cold.

"He reminds me of my old friend Azar, he was a fire ghoul to. I guess they all have that spunk to them." I said with a little laugh and felt the room heat up again. I looked over to where the heat was coming from and saw that Dew never left.

"Oh my Lucifer, it's all your fault!" Dew called out and left for what I assume is his room.

"Did I do something wrong?" My voice shook.

"No, he just needs time to adjust." Aether sighed but it was clear he was confused to.

"I'm sorry about all of this." I apologize holding my arm.

"Oh, don't worry darling, you did nothing wrong. If anything we should be apologizing to you!" Swiss butted in. I blushed at the nickname but I made myself disappear before my appearance would change.

"I don't think I will ever get used to you doing that." Said Aether with a chuckle.

"I don't think I'm used to it yet." I giggled and saw the two ghouls shiver.

"Where is Dove? I just heard her." Rain walked in with Mountain following behind.

"I'm here." I felt the sensation of a smile.

"That's- I'm never going to get used to that." Rain looked in my direction.

"That's exactly what I said!" Aether spoke excitedly at the coincidence.

"Where is Dew?" Asked Mountain.

"He's being a little bitch to Dove so he ran off." Dismissed Swiss.

"Again? What's his problem?" Mountain asked rhetorically.

"I don't know but he called Dove a 'dumb bird' then she compared him to another fire ghoul and he got mad and ran off." Aether informed Rain and Mountain. Rain then turned to my general direction.

"He's usually not like this, I apologize."

"It's fine." I muttered still feeling bad but also the feeling of Déjà vu overcoming me. This was exactly what happened with Azar and all of his friends, except this time around I truly don't think I'll ever be friends with him.
