"Did you hear that? This morning?"

   "I did, it was interesting."

There I was just walking into the kitchen just an hour later after my nice stroll around the abbey. I looked at the two ghouls that were talking. Rain and Cirrus.

"I think he's warming up to her." Said Cirrus.

"I hope so, I just feel so bad for her, you know?" Rain stirred his spoon in his coffee. "Especially because she was friends with his brother."

"I wonder what Azar would think of Dew being this rude to her?" Cirrus questioned aloud.

"I don't really know much about Azar but I don't think anyone appreciates hearing that someone is going out of their way to hate someone they care deeply about." Concluded Rain flatly.

"I know, maybe he's realizing that, and that's why he was being "nicer" then he normally is to her." She put it in quotation marks. I just figured out what those are a few months ago when I was talking to Swiss and Aether. Swiss said something along the lines of 'I don't know what you mean I'm the smartest ghoul here.' To which Aether looked at me and went '"smartest ghoul"' bending his first two fingers on both hands. I remember being really confused on why he did that because I knew Aether was being sarcastic but had no idea why he did those gestures with his hand. He and Swiss eventually explained it to me.

"Hopefully, I really enjoy hanging out with her and I think Dew would like her to." Rain said, I felt warm and fuzzy about this. He admitted that he enjoyed my company without knowing I was here. I felt myself smile and looked around to see the room was glowing. Rain and Cirrus looked to see where the glowing light came from. I just kind of stood there awkwardly, it was obvious I was glowing a lot more then I normally do.

"Are you feeling alright?" Asks Cirrus.

"Never better!" I smiled and covered my mouth after a quick second.

"You don't need to cover your face, don't let Dew tell you differently." Cirrus smiled warmly at me. "And are you sure, your glowing a lot more then normal." She stated.

"Uh, I don't know. I have been saving my energy a lot more recently, maybe that has something to do with it." I stumbled out a lie hoping they would believe me.

"Right," Said Rain kinda skeptical. "What were you and Dew up to this morning?" He asked.

"I don't know, he was walking outside my room so I asked him what's up and then I found out I was friends with his brother." I explained to the water ghoul.

"You were friends with his brother?!" Cirrus spoke with disbelief but was careful to whisper. I nodded at her reaction but I did so in a confused way, why did she respond like that, she already knew that.

"That's insane."

"Why?" I asked confused.

"Because he always said he wanted to meet you when he was younger and now he got the chance to and he's being like this." Rain explained.

"Who's being like what?" A groggily Aether walked into the kitchen.

"Dove was friends with Dew's brother." Rain told Aether.

"Really?!" He asked shocked. "And he treats her like this?"

"That's what we were saying!" Cirrus exclaimed moving her hands around as she spoke.

"He blames me for his brother being sent back." I spoke up feeling embarrassed. What if they start to see me the way Dew does.

"He does?" Cirrus asked.

"I'll go have a talk with him. Where is he now?" The tall bulky ghoul asked.

"His room, I think." Replied Rain.

"No it's alright, I think he's just upset right now, no need to scold him." I quickly butted in. Aether looked at me with pity.

   "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's not anything to serious anyway. I've been hurt worse." I laughed a bit at the wounds that were obvious on my body.

"You really know how to make the best out of a bad situation." Laughed Aether in amusement.

"I've been told, yeah." I smiled widely, it reminded me of the time Azar had told me the exact same thing when my family kicked me out. I had made a joke saying that I no longer had a curfew and I wouldn't have to worry about tending to the animals anymore. My smile faltered a bit when I realized that I probably won't be able to see them again.

"You sure you're okay?" Cirrus asked with a voice full of concern.

"Yeah, thank you for asking."

"What going on?" We all turned to see the fire ghoul walk in.

   "Nothin much." Replied Aether.

"Move I need to make coffee." He stated plainly everyone moved but I was so lost in thought that I stayed still. I wasn't that much in the way but I guess I didn't give Dew enough room because he then walked right through me. We both let out a weird shiver, I felt warmer but it was clear that Dew got cold.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I apologized to the ghoul readying myself for the ghoul to go off on me.

  He never did.

"Eh, don't worry about it." He grumbled. I turned around with a shocked look on my face and the other ghouls had the same look on his face. It got really quiet. "Why did it get so quiet." Dew asked on edge.

"You didn't call her a "dumb fucking bird" like you normally do." Aether told him mocking him a bit.

"So? I'm not in the mood to be annoying right now." Dew pouted.

"I thought he was always in the mood." Mumbled Cirrus causing us to all laugh except for Dew. He just looked hurt.

When is coffee was done he took the cup and walked slowly into his room.

"What's his issue?" Cirrus asked confused as all hell.

"Maybe he finally feels bad." Concluded Rain.

"Maybe." Aether and I responded at the same time causing us to giggle.

"We should probably go get ready for practice, we'll see you later Dove." Cirrus told the group with a smile.

"Have fun!" I smiled and waved before disappearing into the air again with my mind still on Dewdrop.
