The tension in the car was thick as Dontae rubbed his swollen hand, and swerved in and out traffic.

Terricka stayed quiet, she couldn't believe Noah acted the way he did and she had had no idea why either.

"I'm sorry he acted that way..."

"Or what?"

"Whats up with you man? I thought we was cool now you trying me and shit." Dontae said.

Dontae wasn't much of a hothead, but feeling like he was being disrespected took him to a different level.

He thought him and Noah were cool, especially since Noah reached out in a time of need, and he gave him a well paying Job. If anything, he deserved some gratitude, not the attitude he was receiving right now.

He wanted to blame it on him being drunk, but it seemed like Noah has this animosity on his chest for a while.

And it all happened after he started dating Terricka. So now, he was really questioning everything. The way Noah was coming at him in front of all these people he didn't know, really had him wanting to do a few things.

Noah shrugged and said, "Ain shit up with me."

Dontae shook his head. He couldn't act out in front of all these people he didn't know, and he didn't want to make Terricka look bad.

"Why is it always something with you?" Terricka said, trying to keep her tone as low as possible.

"What going on over here guys." Jason said, while plastering a fake smile.

He wanted to defuse whatever situation was going on before it got back to Essence. Although this night was for the both of them, it was way more special for Essence, and he didn't want anything to spoil it for her.

Noah chuckled to himself as he swallowed the rest of the liquor in his mouth.

He was officially angry.

What was a silly little disagreement between him and Terricka, turned into 2 more people instigating.

"Ain't shit going on how many times I have to fuckin say that."

"Fuck you snappin' at me for?"

"Cause y'all pissing me the fuck off now."

"Maybe you need to put that cup down." Dontae said.

"Don't tell me what the fuck I need to do, I'm a grown ass man."

"Alright man." Dontae said as he shook his head.

"What you said?" Noah said as he got up from his seat. He didn't like how every one was standing around him.

Terricka got out of her seat as well.

"If y'all gon' argue take that shit outside for real man."
