Red's pov

"you know you never told me where we're going" I said as I followed him through the busy airport. The large group of people were making me nervous so I was trying desperately to keep my mind off of it.

"oh yeah must have slipped my mind" he turned to me with a grin "we're going to aloha!"

"aloha?" I raised an eyebrow.

"yep!" he grinned "it's supposed to be warm and tropical which you need after being stuck on a mountain for several years"

"were you really thinking about me when you booked this holiday?" I felt touched. I thought for sure everyone had forgotten about me.

"sure I was. Who else would I worry constantly about" he stretched his arms "besides I could use a vacation. Running a gym isn't easy you know"

"you're a gym leader?" I muttered in disbelief.

"Well I had to do something after you took the title of champion from me" he said playfully "so I became a kickass gym leader. The best in kanto some say"

"you didn't abandon it for this trip did you?" I asked worriedly.

"relax I have my friend silver running it while I'm gone. Unlike some people I don't run from responsibility" ouch that's a low blow!

"oh there's our stop. Quickly red!" he grabbed my arm and dragged me to the plane.

*time skip*

"looks like we made it just in time" blue sighed as he sat down on his seat.

I gripped my knees nervously. Being surrounded by so many people. It was making me nervous.

He looked over at me "what's wrong? Are you a nervous flyer?"

I nodded. He doesn't need to know the truth.

He nodded, picked up a pokeball and summoned an eviee.

"ehboi" she jumped on her masters lap happily.

"eviee go sit with red" he ordered her. She nodded and jumped on my lap, cuddling into my knee.

I looked at him in disbelief "what did you expect me to hold your hand" blue said teasingly "no way! You could have all sorts of nasty mountain dwelling germs"

"thank you" I smiled gently as I scratched behind eviees ears. Maybe this trip won't be so bad.
