Red's pov

"come on red let's go!"

We've been in the aloha region for three days now and blue decided that we had to buy some sovernears to remember our trip. A good idea I suppose but I really wish I didn't have to go somewhere so crowded.

I froze as we reached the door. I could see so many blurry figures through the window. My chest felt heavy. I can't do this. I can't do it!

"red?" blue looked back at me and held out his hand "stay close to me. I'll keep you safe"

My chest immediately felt light and fluffy. All my fears and anxieties faded away as I took his hand. I feel like I can face anything.

Blue giggled to himself "you know it's kinda funny. Even now I'm protecting you. Just like I did when we were kids and you were super tiny. Even as a big guy I'm protecting you"

I nodded "understood. I'll protect you from now on"

"eh!?" blues face turned bright red "well that's real sweet but I don't need anyone protecting me. I'm a certified badass after all" he laughed nervously before trying to hide a smile.

I felt my heart flutter in my chest. Man he's cute. How am I supposed to deny it after that! I squeezed his hand gently as we looked through the various shopping equipment.

"mmm what about this" he showed me a snow globe "we can put a picture of each other in here. Then you'll remember me even if you decide to go back to that mountains"

"ehboi" eviee popped out of blues backpack and hopped onto his shoulder.

"yes and you too Eviee" he nuzzled with the eviee happily.

I sighed to myself. You just had to fall in love with him didn't you red. You really are your worst enemy.
