Bella's POV

A sense of numbness washed over me as the gravity of the situation set in. I felt my heart burning with a mix of anger, betrayal, and sadness. Slumping against my car, I cried out in disbelief.

Rachel, my mother, had left my father and me to marry Eden, my father's stepbrother. Despite having her own family, she returned to cause my father's first accident, only to attempt to kill him again.

I slapped myself, desperately hoping this was all a terrible dream, but it was all too real.
Rachel confessed her sins before her husband, daughter, the police, Sherges, and me. I couldn't fathom sharing the same blood with such a heartless woman.

Rachel revealed that she had never loved my father; she was only after his wealth. His love for her made it easy to deceive him. When my father's mother passed away and his own father abandoned him, not even his brothers wanted him.

Rachel had an affair with Eden, and when she discovered she was pregnant with my father's child, she kept the truth from Eden, who had been away for an extended period. She planned to abort the pregnancy, but my father was against it.

On the day I was born, Rachel left, reuniting with Eden and marrying him. As they started their new life abroad, Rachel learned about my father's successful company. Driven by jealousy, she orchestrated the first accident, believing it had claimed his life.

Upon seeing me, Rachel realized I was her daughter. Discovering that my father was not only alive but thriving only fueled her envy. She sought to confront him at the Ben Mansion, becoming enraged when she discovered he had fallen in love with Lucy, the nurse. Unable to accept their relationship, Rachel pushed my helpless father and fled the scene.

Overwhelmed with shock and disgust, I gripped my hair tightly and slammed my head against my car. The revelations were too much to bear. The room closed in on me, and I felt myself on the verge of collapse. If not for Sherges' supportive presence, I would have crumbled under the weight of the painful truth.

Rachel's chilling confession left me feeling powerless.

As the weight of the situation bore down on me, I saw Sherges rushing to my side, catching me as my knees buckled and the world spun around me.
"Bella, you'll be fine. Just sit here," he said gently, placing me in the passenger seat of his car.

I hadn't eaten since my return, consumed by the traumatic events unfolding around me. As Sherges attempted to comfort me, I couldn't help but recall the thought of him with another woman. I turned my face away, ignoring his pleas.

"Allow me to take care of you, Bella, please," he begged softly, caressing my jaw. Despite my weakness, his words fueled my anger. How could he play with my emotions like this?
"I promise to tell you everything later. For now, you just need to rest," he continued, placing a gentle kiss on my forehead before instructing his driver to take us to his home.

I had missed him deeply, but the pain of his betrayal left me helpless to refuse.
When I awoke, I found myself in a bed, unsure of how I had gotten there. Sherges sat beside me, greeting me with a warm smile as he presented a tray of pizza.

"Hey, Princess. You're up. I brought you some pizza. I'm sure you're hungry," he said, attempting to feed me.
Disgusted by the memories of his actions, I frowned and snatched the tray from him, turning away as I ate.

After a few bites, I desperately needed water, but my pride prevented me from asking. I continued eating, my chest growing dry and my throat painfully parched. I began to cough, tears streaming down my face as I pushed the tray to the floor.

As my vision began to blur, Sherges burst into the room with a glass of water, rushing to my side just as I was about to lose consciousness.

Sherges hurriedly lifted me into a sitting position and pressed the glass to my lips. I gulped down the water, my breathing heavy and my throat constricted. As I struggled to clear my airway, he asked with a hint of panic, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," I managed to say between coughs.

He embraced me tightly, stroking my hair as he whispered, "I've missed you so much, babe." I looked into his eyes but remained silent, though I had so much to say.

I had missed him just as much, but the question that burned within me was why he had kissed another girl.

"They had it all planned out," he began, his gaze apologetic. "They set us up."
Sherges went on to explain that Daniella was a close friend from his time in Canada. They had reunited during the meeting, and she suggested they catch up. After a while, she began confessing her long-held feelings for him.

I took a deep breath, my eagerness to understand his actions growing. I remained silent, letting my expression ask the questions for me.

"I didn't kiss her," he said. I rolled my eyes, knowing full well that I wasn't blind. I remembered hearing the woman laughing afterward.

"She was so into me," Sherges continued. "I tried stopping her, but..."

My stomach churned at the implication of his words. Sherges couldn't resist her advances and allowed her to kiss him. Heartbroken once again, I felt tears beginning to trickle down my cheeks.

Despite his guilt, Sherges persisted in attempting to earn my forgiveness. Recognizing that he was a natural flirt, I knew better than to dwell on his indiscretion. Instead, I asked him to explain how he discovered the truth about Rachel.

He spoke of Diana, Rachel's daughter, and how she and Daniella laughed as he frantically called out for me. It seemed that what I had witnessed was precisely what they had intended, and they expected my anger.
Confused by his revelation, I urged him to provide a clearer explanation.

Sherges continued to unravel the web of deceit that had been spun. "Rachel called Diana while I was still there," he said. "After their conversation, Diana shared Rachel's plan with Daniella, who knew exactly where Rachel would be until her scheme was completed. I didn't understand what was happening until Phyna called me about Mr. Ben's accident. I knew Rachel was behind it, so I called my friends and told them exactly what to do."

My mind reeled as I tried to make sense of the intricate plot that had unfolded before me. The depths of Rachel's deception and manipulation were staggering, and I struggled to comprehend how someone could orchestrate such a twisted scheme.
