The Challenge Gets Intense

Next Morning Yzma Milano was preparing to head to the Department of Magical Covert Operation to give her report to them and to the Dragon Priesthood as well as the other groups that she had asked for help to win her challenge and update them on the situation at Hogwarts while her husband would do the same for the situation in the Ministry. Fortunately for her the staff understood since Yzma ahd experience in these situations and the Arkeyans allowed her to take any and all help that she needed. However, the side effect was that she had to be back in exactly seven days or she would be punished for going AWOL. Before she did however she had something to do and that was explain to the students about the Chamber of Secrets and the monster within.

"Alright everyone listen up," Yzma spoke getting everyone's attention as she stood at the podium Albus usually did his speeches from, "Last night the Chamber of Secrets has indeed been opened. As for the Chamber itself, Professor Uncle Chan do you want to explain to the student body with Tohru's help or shall we tell them of the history of the chamber together?"

"Chamber of Secrets was created by your ancestor, It is fitting that you explain it," Uncle said, "However as History Professor Tohru and I shall help you explain Legend of Salazar Slytherin's Chamber and the monster it contains within."

Now the students and staff were paying attention to Uncle as the History Professor spoke.

"Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age – Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin," Uncle explained, "For a while the four founders worked in harmony together seeking out youngers with magical abilities and bringing them to the castle to be educated."

"But a rift began to grow between my ancestor Salazar Slytherin and the others," Yzma spoke taking over for uncle with his approval as this part was personal for her and difficult for her to have to reveal, "My ancestor believed that magical learning should be restricted to pureblood families and no muggleborn students should be admitted and the same went for the monster girls. None of them should be allowed in the school. Eventually a serious argument on the subject caused my ancestor to leave Hogwarts Castle."

Yzma then gestured for Tohru to finish the rest of the legend of the Chamber of Secrets.

"Salazar built a Hidden Chamber of which the other founders knew nothing in the castle," The Japanese Sumo spoke, "According to the legend, Slytherin sealed this Chamber of Secrets so that no one would be able to open it until his own true heir arrived at the school. The heir alone would be able to unseal the chamber, unleash the horror within, and use it to purge the school of all who were unworthy to study magic."

Silence rang out in the Great Hall knowing how serious this was while the news was potentially good news for the Pure Blood Supremacy Bigots and for all that they stood for in their cause.

"My word I know Salazar Slytherin sounded twisted to begin with and his descendants the Gaunts were crazy from what I heard about but I never knew he started the Pure Blood Supremacy movement," Maria said before her fellow badgers looked at her, "What everyone's probably thinking it."

"The scary part is Miss Mariah Bones is right," Yzma said, "Now let me tell you what Hogwarts a History doesn't tell you. The monster in the chamber of secrets is a basilisk. It's known as the king of all serpents. For those of you in 4th year and above I covered this in your 3rd year defense class. 3rd years and below pay attention. A basilisk is a huge snake that can kill anyone who sees its eyes directly. However if somebody looks at the eyes of a basilisk indirectly such as through something like a ghost or its reflection via a mirror or if the somebody who sees the basilisk is already dead then they would only be petrified. It's other method of killing is it's fangs and there is no known cure for basilisk venom. The crowing of the rooster however is fatal to the basilisk so it has a weakness."
