It been a few days and the main group of friends were at the local bar. It's always been Soaps idea to go this weekend. "Um Soap do you think I can have Ghost alone for a few minutes?" Y/n questions as she was questioning Soaps sudden clinginess.

"Why? Do y'all not like to hear me sing?" Soap jokes as he wrapped his arm over the girls shoulder. Soap was in a middle of a good song as he drank his drink, soap wasn't a very good singer but what the point of ruining his fun. "Johnny, you sound like a two legged dog." Ghost spoke as his eyes held honest truth.

"Simon!" Y/n lightly slapped his chest. Soap looked at Ghost and just leaned his head. "No I don't LT, I sing like Adele or Beyoncé, one of those two." Soap spoke before walking away. Y/n giggled at soap before turning her head towards him.

"He's lost it this time." Y/n mocked before hearing new footsteps approaching them. Gaz had entered the room. "Hello." Gaz spoke as he enters.

"Gaz, wanna hear my best singing voice?" Soap asked as both y/n and Ghost quickly shakes their head to deny. "Sounds like you had the time of your life." Gaz spoke as he saw Soap now back in between y/n and Ghost.

Without asking Gaz was kind enough to pull the drunken man away from the two. "Come on, let's pick another song." Gaz spoke before leaving the bar. they can hear soaps loud voice and Gaz just laughing as it fades in the distance. Y/n picked up her glass cup and sipped on the remaining alcohol.

y/n wants nothing more then to spend the day at least with him. Ghost then lightly placed his fingers on her hand. "You okay? You've been distant lately." Ghost spoken first as he looked toward his girl. Y/n quickly nods before turning her head up at him.

"I guess I've been, just thinking of something that I need to tell you, but later." Y/n finally spoke out. Ghost just nods while his eye scanned her now upset expression. Ghost could also sense when something was wrong with her because of her lack of conversations she was giving.

Once arrived onto base Ghost gently took her hand in his. "What's wrong?" He asked remembering what she told him at the bar. Y/n just shakes her head at him to let him know that nothing is wrong. "Huh? Oh it's nothing." She said looking at the surrounding behind him.

Ghost leaned outside the car on his side. "Come on, you clearly have something to tell me. What's on your mind?" Ghost said now resting his arm over her shoulder as she now stood in front of him. Y/n waited for a few minutes before anything else.

Y/n was nervous to talk but he needs to know what's going on. Y/n pulled herself away from the man and ghost looked offended but confused. "I got called into a conference... with my old boss and well..."

She said before pausing and looking away from the man. Ghost looked confused as ever. "What he say?" He asked waiting patiently for her to continue. Y/n looked him in the eyes and found that courage to speak up. "He told me that my deployment was way overdue then intended and that I have to return back to America." Was all y/n said while closing her eyes for a minute.

Ghost lightly gasped before groaning with raising anger. "Can't be serious right? Does Price know?" Ghost protests while eying the girl. All y/n did was nods. "Yah he was in the room as I, he tried to reason for my stay but I must follow the law. I'm not a citizen here, nor am I married. I already claim a return position once I finish." She said while letting out a struggle breathe.

"Fuck that, when are you scheduled to leave?" Ghost said sounding a bit upsetting. Y/n tried to calm him down before he over worked himself. "I leave two days before Christmas... but Mi amor, please relax. This is already done but we can still make this work. " Y/n said while resting her hands on his shoulders. Ghost eyes caught hers for a brief moment, for once he showed emotion.

"That doesn't matter. This mean that I won't be able to see you for a while and you're cool with leaving us... leaving me." He said with a sad breather that was muffled. "I don't want to leave from here, I don't wanna leave you..." Y/n said trying to reassure him but still Ghost hopes where crushed at the news.

The day when y/n was to be deployed back to the U.S was very hard for the team. All their holiday traditions and expectations had to be ended to soon. As y/n checked her room for final items she noticed a single photo frame hanging on her wall. It was 141 on Christmas eve just last year.

Y/n smiled before holding it in her hands. Y/n now closed her dorm door and walked out into the hall. Upon waiting for a few seconds she was met with ghost who held a sad expression. "Let's walk." He said offering his hand out to y/n, she took it and walked in silence. Walking through the halls and out the doors they where waited by two more guests. "Gaz, Soap." Y/n smiled as she let Ghosts go and hugged her two best friends.

The two boys gave her the biggest hugs since they didn't want to let her go. "Good luck out there." Gaz spoke as he pats her back. Y/n nodes. "Thanks." She spoke before looking down. Soap gently shakes her shoulder in a playful manner. "Don't have too much fun out there. Remember you belong here with us no matter how far you're away." He said with a chuckle. "For sure, maybe when I return I'll be a new person." Y/n joked as she stand back next to ghost.

"C/N!" Another voice was heard not too far away from the group. As y/n turned her head she was meet with price. "Captain." Y/n salutes. The captain ruffles her hair in a farewell manner before speaking. "Don't be afraid to call when you feel 'home sick' okay, gonna miss you kid?" He said as he backed a way and y/n just fixed her hair.

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you captain." She said before feeling her being ambushed by a group hug. Just then a voice rang out. "The aircraft is set to go." The pilot spoke. Y/n Let's out a sigh before walking towards the Landing pad. All her team buddy's joining besides her and some helping her load her bags. Y/n stay outside for a minute before returning to ghost. Ghost eyed the girl before she waved off. "I'll be back soon Lieutenant." She smiled at him.

"I know you will." He claimed, Y/n smiled with joy before eyeing the man back. From there on out, ghost watched as she made her way into the aircraft and disappeared out from his sight. Y/n was actually leaving her good friends... no her family behind.

Soap joined Ghost's side as he sighed out a breath. "She'll be alright LT. I know she will, but now it's just you and I." Soap said while jokingly elbowing the man beside him. Ghost just hummed a light response while his eye still stayed on the last spot he saw... her.
