TOPEKA, KANSAS
A girl, about 18 years old, came down the stairs from her home and went to the first floor. In the basement, an older man in his 60s was putting clothes into the washing machine.
-Dad. -She said. We should get back to doing things together, don't you think?
-What do you mean?
-We could hang out, like we used to. Don't you miss it?
-A little, actually...
The girl looked at him and, putting her hands on his shoulders, said:
-You have it in the closet. You can go get it if you want. We'll have a lot of fun...
The man nodded slightly.
-Yes. I'll get it and we'll go.
The man left the girl there alone while, shining a light to see through the darkness of the night, he climbed the stairs to go upstairs to the upper floor of the apartment.

The man and the girl drove through the streets in a red, antique vehicle, both watching what was on the streets. Suddenly, the young woman saw someone in the distance.
-Look! -she said to get her father's attention. That lady, the one walking the dog, run!
The man got out of the vehicle and, stealthily, approached the woman who was picking up her pet's droppings.
-Good..." He greeted her. I was wondering if you have a minute for me.
-I'm sorry. -The woman replied. I'm in a hurry and I have to go.
The man pulled out a gun. He pointed it at the woman and fired repeatedly. After she fell unconscious to the ground, the man looked at the car. His daughter was waving at him to come back. He ran, got into the driver's seat and drove away from the scene.

Bailey went into his office. That was the one Reed used until he appointed Bailey as a replacement.
The girl turned on her computer and looked at her mail. Suddenly, a message from an unknown email appeared on the screen:
Suddenly, Kelley walked into the agent's office.
Kelley: Honey, we have work to do.
Bailey: Coming.
The agent pressed a key on her keyboard and waited for the sheet with the message to come out of the printer. Bailey took the sheet with the e-mail and put it in one of her desk drawers. She then left the office after turning off the computer screen.
Bailey walked through the door of the meeting room.
Bailey: Hello. Sorry for the delay. We can get started.
Kelley: Okay. So we'll get started. You're going to travel to Topeka, Kansas; because, in the last few hours, two bodies have been found on the city's thoroughfare. More specifically, the bodies of Tasha Parker, 74, and Cody Hicks, 42. Both were found with gunshot wounds to their chests.
Rose: Is it known what weapon was used?
Kelley. Ballistics is doing a study. What they do know so far is that it is the same weapon in both cases.
Elina: So we have the same killer.
Webb: He fires repeatedly. Maybe he wants to make sure he's killed the victim completely and that he's not left alive.
Yoni: But why kill them? What's the point?
Bradley: That's what we have to find out. Kelley, do you know what the time is between the two murders?
