The bright sunlight filtered through the curtains, invading Veronica's sleep. She shifted slightly, her eyes fluttering open, only to be greeted by a pair of familiar chocolate-brown eyes gazing down at her with a warm, gentle smile. She returned the smile, moving closer to plant a soft kiss on his cheek.

Arek brushed a few strands of hair from her face and kissed her temple. "Morning," he murmured, his voice deep and warm, matching the sunlight that illuminated his features.

"No," Veronica groaned, her voice thick with sleep. "I want to sleep." She snuggled deeper into Arek's chest, savoring the warmth and comfort of his embrace.

Arek chuckled, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "Veronica, it's time to get up," he insisted, a hint of irritation creeping into his tone.

"Let me sleep," Veronica mumbled, burrowing further into him.

Arek sighed. "If you don't get up, I'm going to pour water on you," he warned, his tone half-serious.

Veronica's sleepy mind struggled to process his words. Arek had been so nice just a moment ago, smiling at her. And she had kissed him. Wait, what? Her eyes snapped open, and the bright light momentarily blinded her. She blinked rapidly, trying to adjust, and then she felt something solid and warm beneath her. She attempted to jump out of the bed, but a strong arm held her in place.

She looked up, her eyes locking onto Arek's. Panic surged through her as the realization hit. She had once again ended up in Arek's bed, and the worst part was she had no memory of how she got there.

"Did something happen last night?" Veronica asked, her voice shaky as she checked herself under the blanket.

"Why is that always the first question you ask when we end up in the same bed?" Arek retorted, raising an eyebrow at her.

Veronica's head was still resting on Arek's chest, her arm wrapped around his torso. Arek's hand rested lightly on her waist. She pushed herself up slightly to look him in the eye. "I asked you first," she replied, her tone defensive.

"It's funny that you think I would do anything with you," Arek said with a smirk, clearly enjoying her discomfort.

Veronica let out a sigh of relief. "Wait," she said suddenly, "Navi was with us too. Did we get her back to her place?"

"Yes, we did," Arek answered smoothly. "She fell asleep in the car, so we came back here. Gnesis took her to the guest bedroom."

"Thank God Gnesis was there. Otherwise, I'd have slept in the car all night," Veronica muttered to herself, but Arek heard her.

"Wait a minute," Veronica said, a puzzled look crossing her face. "How did I end up here?"

Arek shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, Gnesis thinks we're husband and wife."

Veronica's eyes widened. "Wait, who changed my clothes?"

"Who do you think?" Arek asked with a knowing smile.

"Gnesis, of course, But wait, why your t-shirt?" Veronica answered and questioned, more to herself than to him.

Before Arek could answer, "Maybe because she found your t-shirt first." Veronica answered herself

A sudden thought struck her. "Navi and I went to the club in her car. Oh no, her car! It must still be parked at the club!"

"Relax," Arek said, holding up a hand. "I asked Toby to take care of it last night. The car's in the garage."

Veronica sighed, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. "For the morning, you're talking too much," she complained.

"If your interrogation is over, I have things to do," Arek said, his tone becoming business-like.
