Against his own son.. Xavier Thorpe. Those few words made the three of us shiver in fear, although we don't know why.. We knew he was right, deep down we knew that what he told me didn't add up.. all three of us knew that Vincent was that type of person, someone who would do such a thing, someone suspicious enough to attempt to murder his own son, then find as many ways as possible to cover it up without making it seem like his own hands were dirty. It does make me wonder wether he wanted to do it although? Wether that internal conflict in his personas was due to one or more not wanting to?

"I believe that the internal conflict between one or more personalities caused Vincent to mess up on this attempt at murdering his own son. Seeing as the thirteenth case should have happened by now, once again following due patterns in the time periods for all the previous events. It would make sense that this was the case. Although you're most likely wondering, why? For what reason would he murder his own son. Now the only reason we could come up with was due to his mental issues and the suspicion about him being The Hyde, obviously turning out to be false but it being plastered all over the news would cause Vincent's reputation to go down, and that wouldn't hit well with that buisness minded side of him would it? So he resorted to the one thing possible, killing his own son, attempting to frame it as an accident, to likely gain fame, popularity and media notice due to the death.. obviously that didn't happen, instead Xavier survived and was comatosed instead, plastering and labelling this incident as a tragic event that lead to a near death experience, but not an inevitable one." Sheriff Galpin continued, leaning back in his chair to look at all of our intreigued faces..

"This leads me to believe that the reason to why Xavier didn't die that day was due to a conflict between the likely murderous side of Vincent and the father figure, the original side. Due to this conflict we can accurately predict that that Vincent was the second person claimed to be hit by the car, and as he said there was only Xavier's body found, that is technically true because he was the second body. Meaning that he was arguing with Xavier not observing him argue with someone, he was the one who was hit by the oncoming car in an argument with the boy and inevitably himself. Ruining his plan of getting Xavier killed as the person driving this car had to be involved with this case, likely slowed down and swerve slightly when he saw he was about to collide with Vincent as well as his son. Leading the car to stop for a mere moment to check on Vincent, to then be told to drive away, as Vincent was in a much better condition than Xavier, and he could endure and bypass the pain to make it out to be that he only saw the event happen.. not be involved in it." He finished before slighly looking at me in a very serious way, his eyes pierced through me like a bullet..

"As much as I hate to admit it.. I agree, everything that you've just said lines up perfectly, there's no doubt about it." I said turning too look at Enid and Ajax, with their eyes down avoiding my gaze they both nodded simply..
"Now what do we do?" Enid mumbled turning to look at me with desperation in her eyes, it was clear that all of this was getting to her, this whole occurrence makes it hard to trust anyone entirely..
"Now this is where we need to make some sort of plan." Sheriff Galpin said before rising from his chair to walk around once again.
"I know you've been over to visit Vincent a few times already, and since the last interaction resulted in what's on that tape.. I'm warning you Addams, the rest of you too.. do not go back to that place. That's final." He said looming over me before making his way towards the window behind us, peering out of it into the now darkened night, he pulled the cord to darken the blinds before continuing once more..

"We will look into things further, it's likely that in the next coming days we will confront and inevitably interrogate Thorpe to get whatever information we can out of him to confirm everything properly." He spoke before turning to face us one final time..
"The last thing I will say to you three is, go home. Rest up, sit around and wait.. you'll likely get a call from me or another member of the team in the coming days to let you know what happened. That's about all i can offer you, as I don't want you coming anywhere near Vincent or the Thorpe house is that clear?" He commanded, giving us no time to even answer him before he ushered us out of the doorway..
"One final thing.." he spoke shutting his office door behind him, leaning forward towards me as I was that slight bit shorter than everyone else..
