Chapter 17: Woeful Confession

Of course, you're wondering about the girl, well, after Xavier had gently lifted her off the ground, after she had finally fluttered her eyes closed once more. The boy broke into tears..
"Please, please- Please Wednesday." He mumbled, his voice cracked inbetween each word he uttered. He held her in his arms, holding her up close to him. Resting his face against her lifeless one. Thing frantically panicked, spinning around on the ground signing as much as he could to try and calm Xavier down.. The paramedics came quickly, firstly taking away the Sheriff as well, he was in a worse condition than the girl Xavier held in his arms.

Suddenly out of the blue, a certain Werewolf and Stoner arrived.. After they finished up at the station, getting the survivors away to safety, the two of them quickly, frantically tried their best to get to Wednesday as soon as possible. It looks like they were too late although.. Arriving at the scene, the two of them panicked. The sirens that were going off, the blue lights that were flashing around mixed with the sight they never expected to see. Xavier, holding Wednesday in his arms.. With tears streaming down his face.
"X-Xavier.. W-what happened.." Enid appeared from behind him, to which Xavier's face softened even more, before his lip quivered a lot, as he tried his best to talk but no words came out of his mouth.. He only looked at them with tears in his eyes, they understood the situation perfectly and they both simply crowded the boy holding her..

Enid was in tears when the paramedics arrived. Xavier stood watching in disbelief as they loaded her into the back of the ambulance. He knew she was safe now, but something deep down inside him made him only want to be with her at this moment.
"I- I know you care so much for her. It's better that they take her away and you don't see her for a while.." Ajax mumbled placing a hand gently on his best friends shoulder. He only nodded, still staring off into the distance as the ambulance drove down the street. They took her away so swiftly, Xavier had no time to even ask wether or not he was allowed to accompany her. Enid was balling her eyes out in Ajax's arms, complaining about being too late to the scene, although she knew nothing of the entire situation, Xavier could appreciate her concern to the fullest.

A few days had passed. It's safe to say the world was in a frantic panic. After the events that occurred the other day at the Thorpe household, news got out to the press across the country and well.. his son took a lot of backlash. The event was covered up, not all of the truth got out to the press but most of it was covered accurately enough that wouldn't make it seem as if Xavier had done something wrong. In terms of what the press had covered well, it's simple. Vincent's medical records were publicised, telling the world of his DID. This had caused him to be an angry violent person, and in a fit of rage he tried to murder his own son, his sons "girlfriend" and the sheriff who had turned up when some neighbour complained about the sudden noise. To which the Sheriff had to initiate gun fire upon Vincent, after he almost killed his son.

The Sheriff was taken to the hospital, to which he sadly didn't make it. He'd taken a shrapnel wound to the stomach aswell as three consecutive bullets to the same area. Causing the bleeding to be so severe he had less than three hours to live after the first bullet made contact. So unfortunately, he passed away shortly after undergoing surgery to remove the bullets from his system. Wednesday was put under intensive care, she was taken into the emergency room in the hospital and well. She'd been there for three days now. No visitors were allowed at the moment, not until she woke up. Although, Xavier protested heavily. He was taken back into the hospital, although he was only put there for a little while, he had practially healed fully and well they allowed him to go under supervision.
