When Vergil defeated Cerberus the three headed Pitbull demon became a devil arm for Vergil to use. Vergil destroyed the weapon and absorbed the power within, the power divided among the three weapons of Vergil.
Ice Beowulf
The Beowulf obtained the ice part of the weapon. Each punch gives you a chill, the stronger the more cold you get and potentially freeze. When Vergil preforms Hell on Earth ice blocks and spikes shoot out and around hitting everything it can.
Fire Mirage Edge/Blades
The Mirage Edge and blades took the fire side of the nunchucks. Each slice from the Mirage edge is about as hot as the sun when swung yet somehow Vergil does not get burned. The Mirage blades also inherit the fire powers piecing and melting the hearts of demons.
Lightning Yamato
The final weapon inherits the lightning side of the big bad doggy drool. The Yamato uses lighting with every strike zapping opponents and cooking them. When the JCE is used lightning travels with every cut in reality and when finished lightning shoots out from Vergil zapping the enemy or enemies in the process, Palpatine would be real jealous.

Appearance
The weapons do not change Vergil entirely human or trigger forms but the Yamato has a exception. The Yamato makes Vergil's coat and clothing goat his blue color. I would never expect that to happen but it looks hella cool. Note: The images above are a idea on what the glow would look like on the Hell Samurai outfit for Vergil his current outfit in the story if you forgot. I know it's...not the best but it's a mod and the modder ain't a pro so cut him some slack.
DT/SDT form
The trigger form are not effected by the element powers. The only change to trigger forms is the lightning aspect when Vergil changes to one of them lighting tends to strike around him. In his SDT form the lightning does a Semi circle expanding with the demonic energy explosion unlike Dt form which just strikes the ground from who the fuck knows where. In terms of power the weapons deliver more powerful, hot, cold, and shocking blows. DT form upgrades them a decent amount but not as much as SDT.
