Athreya's hands wrapped around yours as the tears from his eyes fell on your intertwined hands. His tears glistened as he looked at you lay there on the hospital bed. "Agent I bought food for you please eat" "No Sneha I'm not hungry" "Agent please eat you barely ate all these days and look at you (Y/n) won't like waking up to seeing you unwell" "It's almost going to be two years Sneha" Athreya sobbed "A-and she's here because of me" Athreya caressed your head "Agent don't be so hard on yourself" "I should've protected her" "Agent...the doctor said it could've been worse" "She's in coma Sneha does it have to be worse than this?" Sneha stood looking at the ground. "(Y/n) is really strong Agent I don't know if you know but she's a really strong person she'll make it through this as a friend of hers I can assure you that and she'll get back up again just for your love" "I should've never loved her in the first place I know this is what will happen having a personal life as a detective you lose your loved ones . Athreya kissed you on the forehead as he placed his forehead over yours and sobbed softly. He never left your side since you were admitted in the hospital. The only time he left you was when the doctors had to check up on you. He tried to wake you up from your coma by whispering all the good things he thought about into your ear.

"Athreya I'll be fine why are you stressing yourself out" "(Y/n) it's just you know that I'm a detective right so I don't want anything happening to you because of me" "Athreya calm down love I'll be with you even before you thin-" Athreya was cut off by your muffled cries. He instantly got up from the chair as he tracked you. She is near. Athreya was relieved to know that you're nearby him and he could save you from whoever was torturing you .

He held his phone close as he was now standing on the empty road you were previously standing on. Athreya was losing his mind now. He jogged up to see if he could find anyone who could give him a clue on where you were. Athreya's phone rang "Hello agent" "Sneha good god" "Agent are you okay?" "No no I'm not (Y/n) got kidnapped" "Agent I thought you had a tracker attached to her phone" "Yes I have" Athreya pulled away his phone from his ear as he looked at the tracking on his phone "Wait a fucking minute" Athreya ran back to the place where you called him from. He looked around frantically as he looked down at your phone laying on the road broken "Sneha her phone is broken and the kidnappers must've thrown it here and took her somewhere else" "Agent I'll be with you in a minute" Athreya told her where he was as Sneha joined him soon. "Agent did you ask anyone around here? " Athreya held his head as he was on the verge of tears "I couldn't find anyone this road is empty Sneha" Sneha tapped him on his shoulder as she saw someone coming their way "Agent let's ask that lady" "Okay" Athreya and Sneha jogged upto the lady "Mam did you see her anywhere?" Athreya showed your photo to that lady "I think I just saw her a few minutes back right over there" "Thanks so much mam" Sneha blurted out as they both ran in the direction she pointed in.

"Leave her right here obviously Athreya will come running here for sure" The gang leader laughed "Yeah obviously we even sent a lady to tell him that he's right here" Another guy chimed in "Does he think he's smart? Now this should distract him from the case" "Now let's go before he arrives here" The guys who kidnapped you left you laying on the road after they drugged you heavily.

"AGENT" Sneha's voice made Athreya's head snap towards her. Sneha picked you up as Athreya came running towards you. Athreya wiped the white substance that was under your nose as he smelled it "They drugged her" Tears started to stream down from Athreya's eyes as he held you close to him. Sneha got up instantly and frantically typed into her phone "Agent there's a hospital nearby let's take her there" Athreya didn't have to be told twice to pick you up and run straight to the hospital.

Present day

"I'm sorry (Y/n) I'm sorry" "Don't be" Athreya's head shot up as he heard that familiar voice he'd been dying to hear . You coughed a little as you sat up. "(Y/n)" Athreya smiled as he went to get the doctors.

Athreya walked back and forth as he was finally happy that you were up from your coma. The doctor walked out as he smiled at Athreya. He placed his hand on Athreya's shoulder "I don't know what you were talking about to her Mr. Athreya but it's definitely because of you she's awake finally" "Thanks doctor" "No no it's all because of you take good care of her" "I will" "Now go and see her" Athreya wiped his tears away as he ran upto you "(Y/n) you're awake" "I am" You chuckled softly as you held Athreya's hand "Athreya it's not your fault" "But it is my fault (Y/n) if I was a normal person this wouldn't have happened" "You're just doing what you love Athreya and I love my detective" You asked him to get down to your level. You placed your hand on his cheek. "Look I'm here because of your love and it's your love that always kept me going so never ever say that your love failed me it never did Athreya" You smiled at him "I love you so much (Y/n) and I'll never leave you. Whoever did this to you will be dead soon" You caressed his face "Athreya" "Hmm" You kissed him on the forehead "Hope you know that I love you more than anything" He kissed your cheek "I do"
