Satoru watched the lady that owned a black hair and the pair of black eyes. she looked almost like Maki, but as she had said earlier, she was someone else.

"i am Mei Zenin, Tomoe's daughter."

since the first time he saw her, she had a cold look. there were Tomoe's memories everywhere here, but she looked at them in distaste, as if she did not want to look at her mother.

"T-Tomoe's daughter ?"

"yes. surprise ?" she asked, standing there unfazed while giving him a side eye. her stature looked strong and dignified, compare to him who usually laidback and slouching. her back straight and her gaze were strong.

"who exactly is Tomoe ?" finally, Satoru asked the question. Mei knew that would be the first thing he asked. the memories surrounding them were unclear and he could not make sense of each of the voices that could explode his mind if he allowed them in.

"Tomoe... is a woman with a cruel fate that took it upon herself to avenge for herself and people she loved against the humanity." the smile of Tomoe flashed before his eyes when the word revenge came from Mei. Mei just gazed emptily toward him before she continued.

"she is the woman i must stop. consumed by fear, she trapped me here and ever since then, i'm stuck in the abyss of her memories." she looked around towards the blurry memories that surrounding them. even if Satoru unmute them, the words will only come out halfway so he could never decipher it.

suddenly, something clicked.

"oh, finally caught up ?" Mei asked, making Satoru turned to him.

"Every time you did it with her, your energy were stolen by her and this is where she stored it." Mei made her palm faced upward before a condensed energy formed within her hand.

"this is your energy. and this place is where she could store them away." Mei waved it off, looking up to the unending memories.

"what is this place, you might ask ?" she turned to face Satoru.

"we are currently within Tomoe, another Tomoe. she made a duplicate of herself to store this many memories and can trap absolutely anything here with no way out. the backdoor never exist. she is the Principle of this place."

Satoru eyes widened at the revelation.

"yes, the Prison Realm is Tomoe as well."

Mei went to look over the memories again.

"who could she be if this Tomoe is in human form ? she have the memories of centuries time and own a power that parallel of a God. will this Tomoe seek revenge as well ?" Mei shook her head as she wore a cold look as well.

"nevertheless. the Tomoe i know has betrayed me, her own daughter. i must stop her and get my revenge for trapping me here for centuries." she said, sounding absolute. her authoritative tone made Satoru stay silenced. she looked to be younger than him, but her strong stature made his morale looked like a mockery.

"there is no time. with you here, i can finally start to move." that confused Satoru, but her outstretched arm and her two fingers placed on his forehead stunned him.

"i could not explain you fully, but this will help you, Gojo Satoru."

finally, she formed a soft smile.

her mouth moved to say something, and the rest of the place turned bright, outshining every darkness and memory that kept repeating, vanishing them with light.

stepping over debris and woods, Mei walked into Zenin's wrecked family quarter. dead bodies were everywhere, and she stopped where an unrecognized corpse laid on the ground since his face was shattered. she stared at it for a moment before she stepped over him and made her way deeper into the quarter.

stairs upon stairs, she finally arrived in a huge safe that was untouched despite the destruction outside. using her strength, she simply opened it barehand and stepped inside unbothered by the trespassing.

there, in the middle of the room was a great sword. a sword that no Zenin could use, not even the legendary Toji Zenin. the sword weight only for a specific person can carry.

carefully, she wrapped her fingers around the hilt, her heart beat nervously before she raised it up and swung it like her extended arm. the swing could cut the air and this could only possible for Mei Zenin. she huffed silently before walking out of the place towards the place she must be.

on her way to the place, she did not forget to twirl her long hair and wrapped it into a bun. although it was messy, at least it would not get in the way of her battle that awaits.

on her way there, the sky had been dark, the cloud was the colour of redness instead of black. the fire, the destruction that cleared many skyscrapers, expressing the dread and war. dead bodies were surrounding her again, this time with eerie chill knowing who caused this.

then, she began to jump over the building that was a top of another to get to the other side. once she was a top of it, she tried to not be too surprised seeing how the ground was leveled, and dead bodies were even more horrid to see.

the sky as if dripping blood, the thunder continued to connect one after another. the smell of blood stenched the entirety of the place. she jumped from the stacking building and walked through the sea of blood.

Yuta on the right unconscious, while Sukuna was stuck to the building with a huge shard into his chest and abdomen. Sukuna weakly looked up toward a random figure standing in the middle of the battlefield, and Mei looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

"oh, look who stands there. is the ungrateful child finally come to seek for forgiveness ?"

Mei face tightened, looking up to where the direction of the voice came from.

Tomoe was walking in the air with each platform materialized beneath her feet, gazing down at Mei like a pest. Mei continued to gaze at her coldly, while Tomoe spare no remorse in her eyes at the sight of her.

Mei took out her greatsword, swinging it in the air before she entered a strong stance.

"i've been waiting for you."
