Shen Yuan scratched his head and stammered.
"Uh, well", he said, "You remember the book I was reading? Proud Immortal Demon Way?"
"Yes", Shen-meimei said nonchalantly," I read it too remember? Not that I enjoyed it though. Awful writing style, potholes all over the place and don't get me started on the characters-"
"Yeah, yeah. I know", Shen Yuan waved his hand to stop her,"Well, I know this might sound a little...unbelievable, but when I was passed out earlier, even though for you it was just a few moments, for me it was years. 11 to be exact. I... got transmigrated into the novel."
"You're kidding right? Were you passed out too long and lost braincells from lack of oxygen or are you trying to joke with me?"
Shen-meimei's face showed annoyance and hesitancy.
"Meimei", Shen Yuan said in all seriousness, his face showing the dignity of a peaklord he had gathered through posing all these years, "I am not in the mood for joking. Those years were an up and down and mostly not pleasant. Also I have a death behind me that was also not calm at all so believe me just this once."
At his stance and the way he spoke Shen-meimei frowned. She had never seen her brother like this. He used to be timid and at times moody, but this dignified image he was presenting was that of a man not in his twenties. A man of power.
"I", she stammered, "It's hard you know. Something like this..."
She helplessly dropped her hands helplessly.
"Shizun, I still don't understand either", Luo Binghe said, looking at Shen Yuan with big eyes. He started looking more and more like he used to in his original body. He even had curly hair and big, obsidian black eyes. The hair offcourse was shorter, but still long.
Shen Yuan was startled for a second and frowned. One hand behind his back, the other patting Luo Binghes head he said: "This master will explain later. I think it would be best if we all took a seat."
At that Shen-meimei was even more confused, but she complied and sat on the couch with her brother and the person who insists on calling him 'shizun'.
"So, assuming what you said was true", she said, giving in,"Given that this man here keeps calling you shizun you must have been a master. And a high-ranking and respected one at that."
Shen Yuan had to cough a little at the 'respected'-part. Even though he had to admit that it was true for him.
"Well", he said, rubbing his forehead, "You could say so. After passing out I woke up on Qing Jing Peak in the novel. I found myself in a place unfamiliar too me, but luckily there was Yue Qingyuan who helped me find out swiftly just who I had become by calling me Qingqiu..."
"Shen Qingqiu?!", Shen-meimei opened her eyes wide, she had already started to believe her brother,"Out of all people, that scoundrel? Scum out of scum! That man should have been cas-"
"Meimei, please", Shen Yuan said, trying to calm her down before something ugly was about to happen, but it was too late. Luo Binghe had already stood up, furious.
"You dare call my Shizun names?!", he yelled raising his hand as if wanting to fire a spiritual blast.
"Binghe! Stand down!", Shen Yuan ordered as he shot him a glance,"Have I not told you already? I am not him!"
Luo Binghes eyes cleared somewhat, but he was still agitated and on edge.
Shen Yuan thought it might be a better idea not to have him here when he explained and he walked him outside, also using this opportunity to lock the door that Luo Binghe had come out off earlier and take the key.
