Chapter 12 (A city in shambles)

"Is this really Cang Qiong Mountain?", Airplane-bro asked in disbelief.

"I cannot be mistaken", Yue Qingyuan said, eyes not leaving the green peaks.

It was however not only Cang Qiong  Mountain that had suddenly risen from the ground. Countless rivers and villages had shot out between the skyscrapers. Shen Yuan, without him finishing it knew what he was referring too. The boy probably was too embarrassed to finish because he was too ashamed to admit having read such a book to his teacher.

"Zhangmen-Shixiong, what is the plan now? Are we going there? Should we go?", Qi Qingqi asked uncertain. She wanted to go to a place she knew, but was unsure about it. She didn't trust the situation and in all the chaos it was also not safe.

"We can't!", Shen Yuan said, suddenly remembering something,"My sister and Miss Sha have not returned yet! Also my parents are with them, we..."

Shen-meimei and Sha Hualing had gone out to pick up his parents. Shen Yuan naturally was worried for them as well as his parents.
He tried suppress his distressed expression as much as he could infront of his desciples. His treasured dignity as always safe even though not important at this moment.

Luckily it didn't take long for the four people in question to arrive. They arrived together, their hair covered in ash and clothes ripped in several parts.

"Mama, Baba, Meimei! Are you alright?", Shen Yuan asked, rushing to them.

"Yes", Shen-meimei replied out of breath, "If not for Hualing, we almost wouldn't have made it. The car is entirely destroyed. We had to leave it behind and to go on foot. Not that we could've driven through that pile of rubble anyways..."

Even in such a situation, Shen-meimei managed to talk on and on. But that's a good sign. It meant she was alright.
