chapter 6 (From a small group to a large one, anti-chaos planning incoming)

Shen Yuan having explained the whole situation a second time was exhausted and nervous. Yet again he was worried that they might not accept him. After all Ming Fan used to be Shen Qingqius most senior desciple and Ning Yingying inspite of everything still his favourite.

Another problem was that he was afraid they might run away and get lost. That would be the most tragic outcome. Shen Yuan would be okay as long as the two stayed where he could watch them.

"Shizun, I this true?", Ning Yingying asked with wide eyes. She used to be never sure whether she liked Shen Qingqiu, because he was nice to her, but whenever she made friends with the new strong desciples, he would bully them until they left or became useless. When her Shizun suddenly became gentle and friendly to everyone, she had gained a huge deal of respect for him.

The know that he was a whole different person did confuse her, but she was still somewhat happy that was the truth.

Ming Fan however didn't take it well at first. His partner in crime had first turned around and teamed up with the enemy and then neglected him altogether. Yes, he had been gentle and kept teaching him, but all the responsibilities he used to have been taken away from him.

"I can't believe this!", he yelled tears welling up in his eyes,"Tell me you are lying!"

"Ming Fan, I'm sorry I-"

"No!", Ming Fan screamed and the tears finally slipped out of his eyes, "I don't want to hear all of this! You're a liar, nothing more! I don't know where Shizun is, but you're not Shizun!"

"Ming Fan!", Ning Yingying now also became involved in the argument, "How dare you talk like this? Have you forgotten what Shizun has done for you?! He got into trouble again and again because you just wouldn't stay out of it and he defended us! You even stood up for him, back in Hua Yue City! And it was him you defended, not the other one! Don't tell me you would rather defend someone who viciously bullied his desciples!"

Luo Binghe didn't take part in the argument, but he stood behind Shen Yuan protectively, short from taking him into his arms and glared at Ming Fan. The two had never been close and had quite a history.

Ming Fan sighed and his expression turned empty with a taint of sadness.

"I know...it's just that I can't accept it. Could we not speak about it please?", he asked and changed the topic,"You said we are looking for Liu-shishu? Let's do that...yeah let's do that..."

Shen Yuan agreed reluctantly and they continued searching the house. They haven't gotten far when they hear a commotion up ahead. It sounded like a verbal and physical fight. The group ran towards the noises and were mat with the picture of a beautiful, young man about to hit an elderly man. Behind the man was a startlingly good looking woman.

Even without spiritual energy the man was frightening. The woman tried to stop him.

"Ge! He hasn't done anything! We can't be sure it was him who brought us here!", she said while pulling his arm.

"Liu Qingge, stand down!", Shen Yuan yelled.

Liu Qingge immediately haltet with a bewildered expression and Liu Minyan dragged him backwards. Shen Yuan came before the elderly man and helped him up. He bowed down deeply and came only short to kowtowing before the other.

"I am deeply sorry, old Chen", he said to this neighbour of his who had lent him flour and eggs once,"This friend of mine has been...in a coma for a while and has lost his mind from being gone for so long. Please forgive his rudeness. When he is back to his senses I will make him apologize personally."

"No, no, it's alright", Old Chen said and laughed, "It's been a while since I last got in a fight so it's been quite refreshing. I trust you if you say he didn't mean it. You're a good kid Shen Yuan."
