The next morning, I woke up to someone shaking my arm lightly. "Miss? Miss please wake up or you'll be late." I simply groaned lazily waving my hand before snuggling my face back into my pillow.
It wasn't long before the blanket was pulled off of me leaving me to shiver and force my eyes open.
"W-what?" I grunted rubbing my eyes and blinking back.
"You have to get up or you'll be late for school." School?
"But I don't have school." I yawned getting to my feet before a maid helped me stand.
"Yes you do. You have your enrollment today. So quickly put this on." She held out what I assumed to be my uniform. Brown pants, white shirt, blue and white stripped tie with a matching blue colored blazer.
"Umm..." That didn't look like the right type of uniform. "Are you sure that's-"
"No time to waste! Chop, chop!" The maid impatiently put the clothes in my hands before walking towards the door. "You have two minutes to get dressed before I come back in."
And with that, she left.
Two minutes? I've never gotten dressed in two minutes! What type of energetic person do you think I am?!
Scrambling to get my previous clothes off, I grunted and yelled and cussed and hissed and complained and stumbled and put my pants on backwards until finally-
"Two minutes is up!" Pulling my pants on frantically, I screamed falling beside the bed and grunted on the floor. Oh great. I think I have a wedgie.
"Miss Evans." The nurse came over as I used the bed as support to stand once again. "Well done. Now, come over so I can do your makeup. You have terrible bags under your eyes."
She took my arm and dragged me over to the wide wooden desk I had and plonked me down in front of the mirror.
"I wouldn't happen to have bags because I, oh I don't know... just woke up?!" I growled sarcastically, crossing my arms as she opened the top draw and took out a bag full of makeup.
"So I think we should go for a natural look." She said completely ignoring my comment. "You know you've acquired your makeup right if you can't tell you have makeup on." She said taking out a gel type substance before basically smearing it on my face.
"Then what's the point of makeup?" I huff watching her take out foundation.
"It makes you look naturally flawless." I could only roll my eyes watching her complete her damn makeup routine.
Cold flinches and small mumbles of annoyance later, we finally put my makeup on before I raised an eyebrow in the mirror.
I did look better I will admit. But I wasn't used to feeling this... fake? Yeah, fake.
"Perfect! Now go brush your teeth before you collect your luggage's I have set up for you." I groaned getting to my feet and letting the maid pull me into the en suite.
"The school isn't far right? Just up the road or something." I questioned getting to the bathroom and taking the fresh tooth brush and paste into my hands.
Wait... don't you put makeup on after you brush your teeth?
"I'm afraid not Miss Evans. It's a few hours from here actually." I accidentally squirted to much tooth paste, staring wide eyed at the maid.
"Say what?"
"Start brushing your teeth Miss Evans." She said bringing the brush to my mouth before I slowly commenced brushing.
A few hours? Where the hell is this school? My eyes narrowed as I brushed faster and harder until I spat in the sink.
"Ok, so we'll quickly do your hair and-"
"Where's dad?" I interrupted knowing she wouldn't listen otherwise.
"He left early for work." She said before continuing to babble about getting ready.
Oh great. So he left early to avoid me huh? He didn't have the decency to see me off? Huh. Some loving father.
"Hurry up! We need to do your hair!" I was encouraged back into my room; eyes narrowed and brows furrowed.
The man has some nerve.
. . .
I sat in the car, sighing while constantly checking my phone.
7:19 a.m.
Honestly. I was woken up at 5:30 in the morning for this? Ugh. I just want to go home.
"We'll be arriving at your school soon Miss Evans." The driver informed as I nodded looking out at the city.
It was great and everything. But coming from luxury just before, it makes this place look like a country town.
Then a large sign went past making me blink back and look at it.
'Illyeria boy's boarding school. 2 miles ahead'
Wait... that's not the one I'm going to... right?
[In case you're a soccer, movie or Channing Tatum fan, yes I did use the school name from 'She's the Man'. I mean come on. Is that movie life or is that movie life?]
