Chapter 2

Really sorry for not updating, my motivation sucks. I'm trying my best to get these chapters out though! Also I know I said this story would be in Minoris POV but for these next few chapters it will be in 3rd person.

Also, I changed the second support character to be Mafuyu instead of Toya. I have a good idea for it! (Sorry if you wanted Toya..)

Location: Kanades bedroom.

It was a few minutes before all Nightcord members joined the call for their usual 1am meeting. Kanade logged onto the website earlier than the others. Today, she was feeling sick. Most likely from the lack of sunlight, minimal food and hardly any sleep. However, she didn't let that stop her from composing music. She would never take a break from making her friends and her dad happy. That's the only reason she is still here today. 

She joined the call and already started on her morning tasks. She was listening to the music she produced over and over again, triple checking there were no errors. 

"It must be perfect..." she mumbled to herself.

Just then, she heard a beep. She quickly changed her browser back to Nightcord. 

"Hi K! Glad to see you here early, I wanted to talk to you about a few things."

"Hello Amia.. what is it?" Kanade responded in her usual sleepy voice.

"Well, first of all, have you been sleeping much lately?" Mizuki asked with slight concern in their voice.

Kanade hesitated a bit before responding.

"Um... yes. I've been sleeping.. alright. Thank you for your concern."

Mizuki knew she wasn't completely telling the truth. They decided to let it go. 

They gave a quick nod before moving onto their next question. 

"I've almost finished the first half of the effects for the music video. I was wondering if you could take a look, just to make sure it matches the vibe that we're going for." 

Kanade nodded and heard another beep come from her monitor. She looked at all the files Mizuki attached. 

"These look great Amia. It's very different though.."

"Well that's a good thing right? Different is cool!" Mizuki responded, almost sounding defensive.

As Kanade was about to respond, however, they both heard another beep.

"Enanan! Hi! How's the thumbnail going for the new music video?" Mizuki said, excited that Ena had finally joined.

"It's.. I don't really know. I don't think it's what I'm going for." Ena said, sounding slightly disappointed that her hard work wasn't paying off.

"Hey, I'm sure it's amazing! Send us the progress so far. I always love looking at your art before it's done and afterwards when it's finished. It really shows how much effort you put into each piece!" Mizuki said, happily complimenting her friend. 

Mizuki knows about what each person in the group goes through. She tries her best to make each person feel better.

"Thank you Amia.. I really appreciate it." Ena said with a slight smile on her face, even if she did doubt what her friend was saying. 

Ena sent the art work in the groupchat. Mizuki viewed it and was almost stunned.

"Enanan.. this is amazing! It might even be your best piece so far. I really love all the pink, and the little details like the cute bows and ruffles!" 

"I agree.." Kanade replied softly.

"Really? I didn't think it was that good.. thanks guys."

*beep*

"Yuki.. hello." Kanade spoke, with a gentle smile on her face.

"Hello K.." Mafuyu spoke with her normal, emotionless tone. 

"Hey Yuki, did you finish the lyrics this afternoon?" Ena asked. 

"Ah.. I did want to talk about that. I was wondering if you guys would like to go to the sekai to discuss things for the new song and music video. After school today, I went to the archery club as usual but one of the girls in the club didn't show up. I waited for her as I guess you could say we're.. close but she never came. So I didn't have time to finish the lyrics. I'm sorry." Mafuyu responded, hoping they would agree as she didn't want to finish the lyrics too late. She wouldn't want to disappoint the others.

"That's okay.. Miku could also help us. I'll meet you guys there?" Kanade followed on.

"Sounds good!" Mizuki agreed.

They all left the call, got their phones and headed to the sekai.

Little did they know what would be in stall for them.

I'm so glad I finally updated this book! I hardly have any motivation to write but when I do, it's a lot of fun. I think the schedule of this book will be a new chapter each month. I know it's a while to wait and hopefully I'll be able to post more than that, but for now, that's the schedule :)
