Chapter 12: Theft of the ocean

The sun is about to set, Miyamoto groans as he feels a poke on his ribs, he pushes away his straw hat and squints his eyes when the sunlight flashes his sight. Yuriko sigh and sits on the floor with Miyamoto while looking at the sky, the sound of seagulls' echoes in the air mixed with wave's sounds. Miyamoto looks at Yuriko and raises his brow before he says "What do you want?" Yuriko groans and straighten her legs and ask how long would it takes before they reach Matsushige. Miyamoto just shrugs and stands, walks toward the edge of the ship to look for a sign on land. The heavy fog is making it harder for him to spot anything other than the ocean. Yuriko joins beside Miyamoto to look and grins as she points at a figure.

Miyamoto happily goes to the sail, before he could pull it Yuriko yells at Miyamoto not to and tells him to change the direction. While Miyamoto is turning the sail, an arrow flies from the figure and hits the boat right on the deck. Miyamoto and Yuriko crouches and hides under the small cabin of the boat before a spear hits the boat right beside the deck. The spear has a rope connects to it. Miyamoto and Yuriko feels as if the boat is being pulled, and as the boat is pulled. Yuriko wears her clan headband and stands out. Miyamoto was about to pull her back down but decide not to, hoping that her idea is same has. Four pirates climbs down their ship onto the two Samurai's boat. They points their blade toward Yuriko, she raises her arms in respond and looks down while the pirate inspect the ship for anything valuable to be steal. Miyamoto on the other side of the boat quietly dips down into the ocean and swim toward the pirate ship.

The pirate captain walks forward to Yuriko and place his wakizashi on Yuriko's throat. Yuriko gets a little nervous but was able to put it aside for this situation. The Pirate then smirks and says "A Samurai, fall right into my ocean. This must be our lucky day, your head will worth a lot in the black market." The pirate crew celebrates by screaming to the air. Yuriko grunts as the pirate punches her gut and takes a rope to ties her wrist together. While Yuriko is being transport to the pirate ship, Miyamoto manages to climb onto the pirate ship with his hook. He crouch and hides behind two barrel. Miyamoto takes a deep breath and exhale, he then takes his mempo mask and wears it. Miyamoto sneaks behind a pirate and grabs the pirate mouth before he takes his tanto out and slits the Pirate throat. Miyamoto takes the dead pirate with him and sneaks onto the sails' pillar. He spots a black powder barrel and grabs it with him as well

Yuriko with her wrist tied on herfront, thrown onto the middle of the ship. She curses as she sits up, her backhurt as she was harshly thrown. The captain smiles and crouch in front of herand says "I'm sorry it has to end this way, Lady Kagesama. That's right, I know who you are. Daughter of Kyoto's Jito. Heir of the Kagesama clan." Yuriko scoffs and looks away before she says "Then you better be careful. Because as the lady of my clan, my parents sent me a demon that will protect me. So I bid you my farewell now." As if on cue, a dead pirate decapitated head fell right in front of the pirate captain. The captain then looks up, and eyes widen as abody without a head fall right on him. The crew screams in fear when Miyamoto jumps off the sail, his cape flies behind him while the sunset silhouette his figure. Miyamoto jumps onto a pirate, his blade went straight into the pirate mouth, damaging each of the pirate inside. Miyamoto kicks the pirate off his blade and gives the captain a deadly glare. The captain crawls back in fear before he yells to his crew, ordering them to attack Miyamoto. The crew hesitated but ends up charges toward Miyamoto despite their fear.

Miyamoto gets in his stance and quickly deflect an attack of the pirate. Before he can strike his blade right through the pirate he finds another one trying to strike him from behind. Fortunately, Yuriko is there. She tackles the pirate and turns to Miyamoto. Miyamoto then cuts her rope off before she draws her Tanto. Yuriko runs and slashes her Tanto on a pirate throat while Miyamoto attacks with his blade. As they manage to cut down more Pirate, the captain finally charges toward Miyamoto with his blade pointed at him. Miyamoto quickly deflects it and slashes his blade on the captain chest, blood ripples out and drips on the floor. Before the captain can do more, Yuriko pulls out her bow and shoots her arrow on the captain's head. As the captain falls on his face, the pirate screams in fear. Miyamoto raises his blade and glares at the pirates before he yells "Who's next?!" The pirates screams, panicking when there is no way out other than the open ocean. Yuriko smiles and deals with the pirate to sails them to Matsushige, or else.

As they all arrives at Matsushige port, Yuriko and Miyamoto ties all the pirates together. Yuriko tells thenearest Samurai regarding the pirates they have capture after she hid her clan headband again. As the pirates was arrested, Yuriko and Miyamoto quickly hides behind the port shack to not cause more ruckus. As they walk around the village, Yuriko smiles at Miyamoto and playfully punches his arm, Miyamoto smiles and grabs her head as they walk to look for safety.
