Once Jimmy had found his place in a cell and I was done writing my report I made my way to my car. While walking there I decided that I wanted to grab something to eat with a friend of mine. He agreed to meet me 30 minutes later at the restaurant.

"Hi, Benjamin", I said once I saw him in front of the little restaurant. "Long time no see", he answered while hugging me tightly. We made our way inside and sat down at our table. Benjamin was a very close friend ever since we met about 2 years ago. He saved my life and I was eternally grateful for that. From that time on we kept on saving and helping each other on a regular basis. Usually helping meant to gathering information the not so official and sometimes not so legal way which the other one couldn't finish their job. Great thing was that we could always rely on the other person and that's something I've always valued.

"What can I do for you today, Sharp?", I asked after we had ordered out things. "Is that the requirement for me to see you?", he laughed. "No, but why else would you agree so quickly?", I said smiling at him. Sharp really was one of a kind.

I called him Sharp because he used to be a sharpshooter in the army. His aim was extremely accurate. He could shoot an apple off of someone's head from at les one 1,5 miles away and the person wouldn't get a scratch. Benjamin was born to a German mom and an US Army soldier dad in Germany. He himself as in the army for about 2 or 3 years as a sharpshooter before he became an agent for the FBI. When we met he was 22 and I was at the wrong end of his riffle. He could have and should have killed me that day but thank god he didn't. For his 24th birthday I gave him the shell of the one and only bullet he shot at me as a present. You should've seen the look on his face but he did like it.

"So there really isn't anything I can do for you then? Unbelievable!", I chuckled. "Nope. I just want to have dinner with you", he returned with a smile. "Great. That means I can ask you for a favour." "Uh, sure. What is it?" "I need some information about my partner", I whispered. "About Aiko?", he said confused. "No, I'm not working with her anymore. "Wait, what? Hold on a sec. Did she do anything? Betray you? What happened?", he almost yelled in confusion. "No, calm down. Nothing happened. I don't really know why they did it but I just got a new partner.", I tried to reassure him. "Okay. Name, address, anything else you can give me?" "Not sure. All I have is Bite. Basically all I know about him. Bit of a grumpy and self-entitled arse. Drives a dark green Ford Escort." "Sure. Give me some time and I'll see what I can do. I'll call you when I've got something, okay?", he promised me. "Thank you. Where would I be in this world without you, darling?", I joked. I really was grateful for his help. It made life so much easier. It didn't take much longer after that for our food to arrive.

After eating and paying we decided to stay a little longer and chat about work, people we disliked, problems and basically everything we could think about. When we were about to leave I noticed a black pick-up coming to a stop right outside the window we sat at. It rolled down the passenger window a bit. To be honest other than that there wasn't really anything noticeable about that truck, maybe that all its windows were completely blacked out.

But as harmless as this vehicle might have looked it was extremely dangerous. Out of the rolled down window I could see the end of a machinegun and out of that end came a lot of bullets, and I mean a lot. Ben and I threw ourselves down on the floor as did the other guests. I didn't know if those bullets were meant for us but when the shooter was out of ammo the car drove off rather quickly. Ben and I both ran out of the building. "Quick, my car is over there", I said while we crossed the road. When we entered the car he said: "Still driving that old rustbucket?" "Excuse me?! what did you just call her?", I said referring to my Ford Mustang GT. "She is an absolute beauty, you uncultured prick" We shared a laugh while I was driving after the truck. Purely out of spite I accelerated even more. It didn't take long for the driver of the pick-up to notice that we were following them. He also picked up speed and ran 3 red lights. Lucky us that my car hadn't maxed out the speed yet. As he was nearing the highway it became pretty clear where ye was headed. Even though I expected it the quick turn onto the highway was quite surprising and I had a hard time reacting. We quickly caught up to the pick-up again unfortunately we lost some of the progress again when another car merged on our lane. Slowly but surely a wall of cars built up between us and the black truck and we had trouble keeping up or getting closer. Not long after we could see the vehicle drive back on the other side again. "Shit!", I cursed while pushing the pedal to the floor. Luck seemed to be on our side that day because not even 50 yards in front of us I could see a gap in the barriers. We quickly did a 360 through said gap and were speeding after our attackers. Unfortunately, that didn't last very long because we soon lost them in the amount of people that were now on their way home.

"Great, could you see anything inside?", I asked Ben. "Nope. Only black. And there wasn't really anything else about that car I could recognise", he answered disappointed. "Well, yes and no. There was something noticeable but that won't help us much either." "And that would be?" "No number plate", I proudly said. "Yeah, that really won't help us at all." While we tried to think of more things that might help us identify the car I drove us back to the restaurant. Ben left the car and promised to call me once he had something useful about Bite while I promised to look into the car we just lost. The owner of the restaurant was still quite emotional so he wasn't going to be of any help right now. So, even though I didn't want to I made my way back to the office to do some digging into that black pick-up. Maybe there were some files on a similar car or incident. I wasn't very confident but as everyone knows hope dies last.
