"So," Makima grinned, leaning forward on the table, "Have you decided on a partner?"
Aki sighed, leaning back in his chair, "I don't know, I hate them all."
"Come now, I know that's not true. I saw how you got along with the Angel Devil."
"I only bought him ice cream because the alternative was slicing his throat."
Makima cocked her head, "For someone who hates devils, you sure did take the pacifist route when it came to Angel."
"It..." Aki looked away from Makima, "I only saved it so I can use it to kill the gun devil, that's all."
Makima nodded skeptically, "You know, I think you two would be great together."
"With all due respect, I don't see how. He's too unruly"
"Kishibe told me that when he first paired you up with Himeno, you were unruly too. Please, give him a chance. You may be able to change him."
"I suppose I have no choice."
Inside, Aki was screaming. Seriously, how was he supposed to deal with that thing? "Give him a chance," Aki internally rolled his eyes, "It doesn't deserve a chance." Makima knew he had problems with devils, how could she pair him with such an insufferable one?
"Are you sure you're alright with being his partner?"
Aki nodded, "If I bribe it enough, maybe it'll keep quiet."
She smiled softly, "I'm glad you've come around. You'll start tomorrow so you can have a day to yourself."
