Rhaenyra and Amara walked going in and out of the different stands and tents. They ate sweets, laughed, and found a form of joy in this day Rhaenyra had held so much disdain for. As the two walked and laughed they walked past the Lannisters. As Jason called out for Rhaenyra James took Amara by the arm and took a walk with her.

The two walked with smiles on their faces, arms linked. “Ceira came to me.” They had gotten quite far from Rhaehyra when James had spoken. “About?” Amara questioned. She knew it was about her but she played it coy. “You. But you knew that. You always do.” Amara stayed silent. “What did you say…or do?” Amara rolled her eyes, “I only spoke the truth.” James laughed, “What of?” Amara looked to the ground watching as they walked in sync. “The ladies. Their husbands. The Stepstones.” James rolled his eyes. “Why must you push them? Push her?” Amara furrowed her brows, “It is not of any fault of mine that they take offense to such things. I spoke no falsehoods.” The two stopped and James grabbed Amara’s hands and held them close. “Why are you so persistent to speak the truth about the Stepstones? What is so important about them? You should not need to worry about such things as wars. You are the Princess’s advisor, not the King’s.” Amara’s expression fell. She breathed heavily through her nose and looked to the ground in a slight look of shame. He pulled her hands even closer they were now against his chest. “I know you do not feel as I do but I will give you a most wondrous life if you only let me.” Amara looked at James and gave him a small smile and nodded. “Please Amara, get along with the other for only a day. I beg of you.” Amara nodded again, “I shall.”

James kissed Amara’s hands and took off towards another man who had waved him over. Amara turned in his direction quickly calling out to him. “I would like to mention…I do…feel for you James, more than you know.” James gave her a smile and a nod before continuing.

Amara did not lie. She did care for James. She just didn’t care for him enough to marry him.

Amara walked back to Rhaenyra who had just finished talking to Jason Lannister. Rhaenyra slowly turned around, a look of disgust filling her face. "What is the matter?" Rhaenyra opened her mouth to speak and then she closed it again. "I believe Jason Lannister just made a proposal for marriage." Amara raised her eyebrows, "He did?" Rhaenyra nodded. She grabbed Amara's arm and linked it with her own. "I guarantee my father is trying to sell me like some cow." Amara laughed, "I do not believe it is of His Grace's fault. I have been seen many a proposal from lords around the realm." Rhaenyra’s head quickly snapped to Amara, “What?! Why did you not tell me?” “Your father said it best not to bother you with such matters. I wrote to the men and kindly rejected their proposals.” Rhaenyra nodded, “How long has this been?” “About a year.” Amara said hesitantly. The Princess nodded once more. “Those proposals may have not been my father’s doing but this one certainly was. Aegon survived to his second name day. Why would Father need me any longer?” Rhaenyra’s tone said all that needed to be said and when she separated from Amara and marched towards the tent, Amara knew something was to go down.
Amara ran after Rhaenyra, following her into the tent. As Rhaenyra marched to her father, Amara stopped. This was a discussion meant for those two only. Amara stood back grabbing a cup of wine from one of the servers. She crossed her arms and sipped slowly watching the two. As their voices rose, more and more people started to notice. Amara heard Viserys mention the proposals. At least she knew Amara was being truthful. “Even I do not exist above tradition and duty, Rhaenyra!” Everyone had heard the king shout his words.
