After her episode Amara had spent her time waiting for James to return from the hunt. As James had went off with his brothers. By time the men had returned it was time for supper. Amara sat next to her father, reluctantly, and started her meal. As her father went off to speak to Viserys, Amara waved James over. James pulled over an empty seat and sat beside her. “Yes, my Lady?” Amara smiled, “There is something we must discuss.” James nodded allowing her to continue. “Lord Elijah Forrester came to me whilst you were on the hunt.” Otto had made his way back to their table and sat beside his daughter continuing to eat. “And?” Amara leaned into him, “He asked for our first born daughter to wed his son.” As Amara leaned back James nodded. “Why would he ask such a thing?”

James did not know of Amara’s extracurriculars so Amara tried to cover them. “He wishes to have an extension of the future Queen in his family. I am an extension of Rhaenyra as will our daughter be.” James nodded taking Amara’s hands. “I am not close to House Forrester. The North tends to not do well with the South. If you believe our daughter would fair well and be safe with them then accept his proposal.” James kissed her hands before walking away. Amara smiled as he walked away. He wasn’t so bad.

After the feast, as other prepared for bed, Amara stood outside looking among the stars. She sighed, staring into the moon, “Seven Hells.” Otto walked up beside his daughter, “I overheard you and James. You seem to be getting along.” Amara sighed again. “What does it matter to you, Father?” Otto laughed, “You are a spitting image of your mother.” Ottp looked to the stars. “Your mother would lay in the gardens watching the clouds and at night she would stare out our window at the moon. It helped her think.”

Amara found it refreshing to hear Otto speak about her mother. “I knew I did not inherit it from you.” She joked. There was a long silence. “You should accept it.” “What?” “Elijah Forrester’s proposal. If you accept it we will have another house that will stand for us. We will have a Hightower in the North.” As Otto spoke Amara’s face filled disgust. “No.” Amara realized what she was doing. “I will not subject my daughter to the same fate of her mother. She will marry who she wants.” Otto opened his lips to speak once more, “It is the way we have done thin-” “If I need your advice I shall ask for it!” She shouted, making everyone around them turn their heads. Even Viserys and Alicent, who stood by the large fire, looked over. Amara walked closer to her father and stretched her neck to him. Amara gritted her teeth and in a rasp whisper said, “I will never be like you.” Amara walked away from her father with a fury. James stood holding a cup in Amara’s way of her own tent. James started to speak as Amara walked past him. “Don’t. I have heard enough men tonight.” Amara walked around him and into her tent. There is where she stayed for the rest of the night.

The next morning when Amara awoke she had found that all of the men had gone back on the hunt for the White Hart. All the men except Elijah, who sat with his family. Amara walked over to the family of three. “Lord Elijah, Lady Abigail.” She smiled and tickled the boy that sat on the pregnant mother’s lap. “Little Lord Alexander.” She folded her hands, “May I speak to you Elijah.” He nodded. Amara walked away from the others, him following her and she started to speak. “I have come to give you the answer we had talked about.” He nodded. “I have given your proposal a great deal of thought, my Lord. He looked down at the woman in front of him. “Why is it you sound as though you are about to decline.” Amara laughed, “When thinking over your proposal I perceived myself to be like my father.” Amara looked down her bright red dress. “And I will never be like him.” “Forgive me, but what is it you are saying?” She looked back up at him. “I cannot promise my daughter to your son. Not as my father did to me. I will not take my daughter’s freedom away from her before she is even born. We only have a small amount of such as women and I do not wish to take it from her.” “You’re saying no then?” “No, I’m only saying that we must be patient. My daughter and your son will marry but only on my daughter’s terms.” Elijah shook his head, “I don’t understand.” “Our children will marry when the time is right but it must be my daughter’s decision. Unless my daughter values duty as much as I, this is the only way.” Elijah nodded. “I can understand your decision my Lady, as I hope the same fortune for my daughter.” Amara nodded giving him a big smile. “Good. We shall talk soon enough.” Elijah kissed the young woman’s hand before departing.
