Amara screamed out in pain. She held on tightly to her bedpost. The pain moved from her swollen belly to her thighs, to her legs. "Get it out of me!" She screamed. She lowered to her knee and put both of her hands on the bed. Sweat covered her. "Hold on another moment, Sister." Alicent stood away from the Maestors with a swollen belly of her own. "I want it out now!" Amara pushed and screamed through gritted teeth. Her sweat and tears mixed together as she pushed. One of the midwives grabbed her hand, "You need to get back in bed, my Lady."
Amara took her hands and did her best to climb onto her bed. She spread her legs and waited. The pain was unbearable. Amara felt as though she could pass out. Instead, she closed her eyes and breathed heavily. The maester made his way to Amara, "I see a head." Amara screamed in pain and called out for her sister. As Alicent moved to her sister, she was brought a chair to sit beside her. Amara screamed out again and Alicent grabbed her hand, just as Amara did during the birth of Aegon. Amara, sweaty and in great pain, looked at Alicent with wide eyes, "I can't do this! Please, don't make me!" Alicent wanted to take the pain for her sister but all she could do was hold her hand. After all, Alicent had to do the same thing. The maester looked up Amara's dress and told her it was time and that she needed to push. Amara shook her head vigorously. "I can't! Please!" You have to push, Mara." The maester yelled out for milk of the poppy and one of the midwives dumped it down her throat. Amara almost choked on it, she had told them she didn't want any milk of the poppy, she wanted to be able to remember meeting her child for the first time. Amara started to push and not long after, a baby was born. "A healthy baby girl!" Alicent stood and watched as the umbilical cord was cut. The babe was early but full grown. The maester and midwives suddenly quieted down. Amara smiled and laughed as she was handed her newborn daughter.  Her head had barely any hair but from what she could see, it was brown, like hers, but there were streaks of silver in the babe's hair. Her expression faded. She started to breathe heavily again as she looked up at her sister. Alicent couldn't look at her sister. She couldn't believe it but she should have. Amara had been anxious her entire pregnancy, Alicent had assumed it was because Amara was about to be a mother. How could I have been so stupid? Alicent thought to herself. She should have given Amara a moon tea as soon as she figured out what it was.

Amara started to cry, with all of her being she hoped the baby was her husband's. She loved Daemon but she hated the fact that their daughter would be shamed. Her heart had ached for the babe. Amara felt a severe pain and handed off her daughter. Alicent turned back to face her sister as Amara screamed again. "What is wrong with her?" She urged as she moved back over to her sister.
"There's another, my Queen."
