By the way, Mia is around the age of sixteen and she's an only child at the moment. They are living at Meredith's childhood home with Alex, Izzie, Lexie, and George. Mia POV:
I came home after school, just wanting to relax after exam day, so I make some dinner for Mom and Dad because they'll probably be home late and be exhausted as usual.
I decide to make them some steak and potatoes with some vegetables for dinner and tidy up the house before they arrive home.
As soon as I'm finished plating everything I hear the front door open and slam.
I run to check if it's my parents, but it's Alex instead and he doesn't look too pleased to see me.
"Um, there's dinner on the table, are you okay?" I ask
"Your father is a freaking maniac, you know that?" He scoffed
"Hey, that's mean. What happened?" I sigh
"He killed a pregnant woman today in surgery. He was taking out parts of her brain and he was so sure that she'd be able to live without them. At least the kid is okay."
"Oh God, is he okay?" I feel terrible for Dad.
"I don't know, he beat up Sloan and that's the last time I saw him. They should be on the way home now though." He shakes his head.
"He beat up Uncle Mark? That's bad, that's bad. He's never done that. Not even when Addison cheated. Why would he do that?" I ask
"Little Grey is dating Sloan and your father told him not to do that? I don't know the whole story, but what happened today should never happen again. That was unnecessary, so that's why I think your Dad is a freaking maniac!" He shouted
"Hey! No name-calling! Everyone screws up, but that doesn't mean you get to judge him. He's my Dad!" I argued
"Sorry, I know you love your parents a lot. It's been a rough day. Thanks for dinner." He messes with my hair and flashes me a smile before heading into the kitchen.
It felt like hours before Mom and Dad got home and they looked exhausted.
"Hey, there's dinner on the counter. I heard what happened, are you okay, Dad?" I frown and hug him.
"Where's the scotch, I'm more hungry for that right now, aren't you, Mer?" Dad brushed past us both.
"Sorry, honey. He's had a bad day. You should go to bed, it's getting late. Thanks for dinner." She smiles
