A/N: This was originally supposed to be the chapter where Cloud receives the Firium Z, but I scrapped the idea, but since I had already made it so far, I figured why not post it anyway?
It's been a day since arriving on Akala Island. On the first day, Kukui's class participated in a scavenger hunt, which Lana won due to finding Z-Ring Ore. Everyone was free to do as they please today. Ash and Lana are currently taking on the Brooklet Hill Island Trial, while Cloud and Kiawe were sparring with their Charizards.
Kiawe: Charizard, use Slash!
Kiawe's Charizard: Zard!
Cloud: Fly up and use Air Slash!
Cloud's Charizard: Char!!

Cloud's Charizard dodges the Slash attack and fires Air Slashes at Kiawe's, dealing serious damage.
Kiawe: Don't count us out yet! Charizard, use Fire Punch!
Kiawe's Charizard flies into the sky and hits Cloud's with Fire Punch.
Kiawe: Now use Aerial Ace!
Kiawe's Charizard: Char!
Kiawe's Charizard attacks from various directions at incredible speed.
Cloud: Follow their movements and use Dragon Claw!
Cloud's Charizard manages to predict Kiawe's Charizard's next attacks and hits them with a critical Dragon Claw, making it fall to the ground.
Cloud: And it's a wash.
Kiawe helps his Charizard get back up.
Kiawe: Man, Your Charizard is really strong.
Cloud: I've been raising him ever since he was a little Charmander. Your Charizard is pretty tough, too.
Kiawe: Thanks. I got it from my Grandfather.
Cloud: Oh, yeah. The previous Kahuna. I heard as much from Mallow.
Kiawe: Think you're ready for the Grand Trial?
Cloud: Positive. Let's have these two rest at the Pokémon Center so we can have another go.
Kiawe: Yeah.
(Later)
Kiawe and Cloud were at the Pokemon Center lobby waiting for their Pokemon to be treated. After their Pokemon were healed, a young male trainer rushes into the room.
