They held a funeral for Gilgamesh, Karun recited a prayer in his native language as the sun was setting, and when the morning came, Thena walked into the lake, carrying an urn full of Gilgamesh's ashes, Aya standing by the edge of the water creating a path for her using her powers. Once Thena reached her desired destination, she turned to nod towards Aya, and Aya nodded back, slowly letting the water fill back in around Thena. Druig watched this happen from afar, Sersi joining him after a few seconds.

"When I left, I thought about taking over the minds of every human on the planet." Druig began, watching Aya stand back up slowly, the left side of her waist now wrapped up with bandages, part of her flannel and tank-top missing. "Violence, fear, greed, all gone."

"Why didn't you?" Sersi asked.

Druig pointed towards Aya, who was watching Thena prepare herself. "Her." He simply said, letting his arm drop back to his side. "She taught me that without their flaws, they wouldn't be who they were. They wouldn't be human."

Sersi turned towards Druig. "Please come with us. You know you can't stay here. These Deviants are trying to keep us from killing their own kind. They have a conscience. That makes them more dangerous." Druig shook his head.

"No, Sersi. That makes them us." He watches Aya fiddle with the wrap around her waist idle-mindedly, adoring how the concentrated look on her face made her eyebrows scrunch up and her eyes sparkle. "Eternals and Deviants. Arishem's children." He sighs. "But you are asking me to take control of the mind of a Celestial. I do not have that kind of power." Even he knew his own limits.

"We'll need Phastos." Sersi tried, desperately trying to get him to say yes. She had one more tactic up her sleeve if this one didn't work.

"Well, good luck. He gave up on humans a long time ago."

Sersi sighed. Time for Plan Aya. "Why don't you do it for Aya?" She asked, gesturing towards the brunette. Aya was still staring off into space. "You know that if the Deviants come back, she'll get hurt again. Maybe worse than she did last night. Not to mention, you know she'd give her life for yours in the blink of an eye. Are you really willing to let that happen and risk it?" Sersi felt guilty using Aya against him but she knew she had to in order for him to agree.

Druig shook his head. "Did you really just use Aya against me to get what you want?" Hearing nothing from Sersi, he got his response. "Fine. I'll help. But, don't do that again."

-Hours Later-

After Sersi and Ikaris had convinced Phastos to join them, it was now time to head to the Domo, where they would find Makkari as well. Archeologists were just starting to uncover what used to be Babylon. Thanks to Sprite's illusion powers, everyone was invisible. Druig used his mind control powers to get the Archeologists to abandon their work and drive away. As they were driving away, Sprite lifted her illusion, and they were all made visible. Phastos used his powers to lift the Domo from where it was buried, and Aya could hear the human marveling at the sight of their ship.

Once they got inside, Kingo motioned for Karun to get in front of him with the camera, then he started talking. "A foreboding atmosphere fills the air. An eerie stillness chokes our lunges." Aya rolled her eyes, walking behind Thena and in front of Druig. Phastos had had enough of Kingo's antics already and he hadn't even been into his act for 5 minutes.

"What are you doing?" Phastos asks accusingly. "You know you're creeping us out. You know that, right?" Phastos was going to continue ranting but got cut off by Thena accidentally stepping on a bag of chips, causing it to pop. Phastos freaked out. "Oh! Oh, god!" He started waving his hands around in the air, turning towards Thena. "Stay calm, T, please!" Thena lifts her foot with a look of seriousness and points towards the bag of chips she just stepped on. Aya giggles. "Chips. It's just chips." He says, bending over to pick up the now open bag. He holds a hand to his heart dramatically.

"As you can see, being an Eternal does not preclude you from having human emotions." Kingo starts. Aya cuts him off, limping to stand in front of everyone.

"Such as cowardice." She laughed, causing Phastos to give her a look and Druig to look at her with adoration. She looked around as they continued walking forward. "I definitely cleaned this place up the last time I was here." She said absentmindedly, kicking at an empty can of Pringles that she had brought Makkari the last time she was there.

They made it towards the entrance of Phastos lab, and he starts freaking out again. "What has she done?" He points. "Is that... a sarcophagus in my lab?" He starts running forward trying to figure out what the hell else Makkari did to his lab. Aya laughs. The rest of them crowd into the lab.

Sitting in a nice, large chair, was Makkari, speed-reading a large book that Aya had helped her steal. Makkari felt the specific, beautiful vibrations of Aya's heartbeat, and looked up, closing the book on her lap. As she did so, Kingo talked to his camera. "This is Makkari. Or should I say Miss Havisham. None of us have seen her for centuries, besides Aya."

"Ready to go home?" Makkari signed to everyone. Everyone looked around with guilt expressions as Kingo hummed. Makkari sighed silently and slumped back in the giant chair.
