Makkari was back now. After Ikaris and Sprite had left, Thena had helped Druig and Kingo get Aya to a clear-offed table to lay down on. Thankfully it was just a flesh wound, nothing serious, and it was on the other side of her waist, not on her already injured side. Once Makkari got back she instantly checked on Aya. Once she was sure she was okay, she turned to the others, questions on her mind. "Why did Sprite go with Ikaris?" She signed, confusion written plain on her face as she stood beside the table Aya was laying on.

"Because she loves him." Kingo said simply. Aya turned her head to look at him in shock. He registered the turned heads and shocked expressions. "Oh, you guys didn't pick up on that?" Kingo shook his head. "He really fooled us, didn't he?" He started walking towards the entrance of the lab. "Karun, let's go."

Phastos spoke up. "Wait, where the hell are you going?" He asked accusingly.

"I can't help you guys. I still think Ikaris is right." Kingo relented.

"So that's it, huh? Just gonna follow him?"

"I love the people of this planet. But if you stop this Emergence, you are preventing so many other worlds like this one from being created." Kingo said. "I still have faith in Arishem, but I refuse to hurt any of you for my beliefs." He sent a look towards Aya, to which she nodded with tears in her eyes once more. She had already lost so many people she called family, she didn't want to lose Kingo as well. Kingo started walking again but Makkari stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.

"We need you."

"Even with my help, we're no match. It's Ikaris. But..." He turned his head to look at everyone one last time. "I hope to see you on the next planet." He said, before finally walking out. Tears fell down Aya's cheeks. Karun stopped at the entrance, and turned around.

"Thank you for all you've done..." He started in Hindi. "For humanity. It's been a great honor." He sniffles, putting his hands together and bowing his head. "I will miss you all." He looks around, and Druig sends a nod towards him, and Karun nods back, before walking away, trying to catch up to Kingo. A few seconds of silence pass.

"Look, if I'm gonna get myself killed going up against Ikaris, we'll need a plan." Druig said. Aya gave him a look, as he was sitting on the table next to her. He shrugged his shoulders at her as if to say "want me to lie?".

"All of our powers, even if they are amplified, are not enough to kill a Celestial, so..." Phastos trailed off, letting his hands hit his thighs in defeat.

"Well, Sersi did turn a Deviant into a tree." Aya said, pointing towards Sersi, who was sitting on a table next to the one she was on. Sersi sent her a look.

"I'm sorry, what?" Phastos said, shocked. "You didn't want to tell me that?"

"You've never been able to do that before." Makkari signed.

"I don't know how it happened, okay?" Sersi defended. "And I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it again." She added, looking down at her feet. Phastos was exasperated.

He scoffed. "Well, now's the time to try, don't you think?"

Sersi started to get upset. "Phastos, that Deviant is dead. Our plan is to put Tiamut to sleep, not kill it." She started getting worked up, her voice raising to a shout. Aya tried to call her name to call her down.

"Sersi, Sersi!" It didn't work, her pleas went ignored.

"I can't kill a Celestial. We can't, we can't!" Druig was finally able to get her attention.

"It's okay, Sersi." He reassured. "I got this." Sersi nodded, then walked out of the room, head down. Aya sighed. It wasn't her intention to make Sersi upset. Aya turned her head to look up at the ceiling of the Domo, closing her eyes. Her chest wasn't hurting anymore, neither was her side. But she knew that she shouldn't move if she wanted to heal quickly. She felt someone nudge her, and she opened her eyes, turning her head to the left to see Makkari by her side, arms crossed and a serious expression on her face. Aya put on a nervous smile, knowing that she was about to get a serious talking to.

"What were you thinking?" Makkari signed. "I knew he was going to try to hurt me. You know I can sense those things. Why would you do that? You could've gotten seriously injured. He could've killed you!" Aya makes a grab for Makkari's hands, trying to get her to stop signing. Makkari moved her hands out of the way and kept on furiously signing, going on about how dangerous it was and how stupid Aya decision was. Aya finally used her speed to sit up and grab Makkari's hands, holding them still as she winced in pain from her sudden movements. Makkari sat there, pouting at the floor. Aya smiled.

Aya let go of her hands. "Look at me." She signed, and Makkari reluctantly did. "Am I dead?" Makkari shook her head. "Am I standing here, still talking to you?" Makkari nodded her head. "See? I'm okay." Aya put her hands on Makkari's shoulders. "I know what I did was stupid, dangerous, and all the other adjectives you used that I don't remember, but you know what I was worried about at that moment? You. And Kingo. Because I knew that if I didn't do something, he would." She pulls Makkari into a hug, and Makkari wraps her arms around Aya quickly, hugging the Eternal to her tightly. When they pulled apart, Makkari pointed towards Druig, who was watching their interaction with a smirk after having felt Aya speed away from his side.

"You should've stopped her."

Druig scoffed. "How was I supposed to stop her?"

"I don't know, you're the mind controller." Makkari shot back, and Aya stepped between the two.

"Guys, guys, stop." Suddenly Phastos ran out of the room, and the three of them stared after him. "He's weird." The three of them laughed.
