Maudie's POV

Saturday
6:30 am

The sound of repetitive beeping noises coming from my alarm clock woke me up. Then I hear the sound of rain droplets landing on my roof which calmed me.

I unplugged my phone from the charging cord on my bedside table to see messages from Ava. It was from last night, I had already charged my phone for bed that time, and I didn't see that she texted me. Anyhow, I quickly unlocked my phone too see what she was texting me about.

6:32 am

Ava: 𝑚𝑎𝑢𝑑𝑖𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑜 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑦 𝑡𝑒𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑦 𝑡𝑚𝑟𝑤? 𝐼 𝑎𝑠𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒, 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑔𝑜? 𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑔𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑜𝑓 𝑢𝑠, 𝐼 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒. Me: 𝑆𝑢𝑟𝑒. 𝑆𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑦 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡. 𝐴𝑛𝑦𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒?

Ava: 10:30 𝑎𝑚 𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑦 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒. 𝐼 𝑏𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑏𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑢𝑖𝑡𝑠. 𝐼 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑡𝑒𝑎, 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒.

Well that was quick, she probably stayed up all night waiting for my answer. I'll inform my dad about this later.

6:36 am

I walked to my closet still enjoying the sound of the rain, I opened my closet to see what I could wear for the tea party.

It was either this January Valentine's t-shirt that says rock and roll or this yellow-ish white blouse.

I choose the blouse. I don't think I'll risk staining my January Valentine's t-shirt today. And I think I'll be pairing the blouse with an beige overall, just for it to be covered by a raincoat.

6:46 am

I checked the time to see that I have spent about 10 minutes picking my clothes for the tea party. I'm acting less normal today, I wonder why.

7:00

I decided that it's a bit too early to be preparing for the tea party, considering that it's gonna be happening in 2 hours and 30 minutes. I am going to the kitchen where I would usually find my dad...

And he's not there. Now it's becoming less and less normal, what's happening? I saw a note on the kitchen counter and quickly went on my feet after it, though it not being able to move.

The note read: 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒽ℴ𝓈𝓅𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓁 𝒸𝒶𝓁𝓁ℯ𝒹 𝓂ℯ 𝒾𝓃 𝓉ℴ𝒹𝒶𝓎. ℐ'𝓂 𝓈ℴ𝓇𝓇𝓎 ℐ 𝓌𝒶𝓈𝓃'𝓉 𝒶𝒷𝓁ℯ 𝓉ℴ 𝒸ℴℴ𝓀 𝒶 𝓆𝓊𝒾𝒸𝓀 𝒷𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓀𝒻𝒶𝓈𝓉.

*𝙸 𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚝 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊 𝚗𝚎𝚞𝚛𝚘𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚐𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚜 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚜𝚘... :))*

From a normal person this note would seem unreadable since my dad is a surgeon, but to me, it's still kind of unreadable, but I can understand it.

7:11 am

It is still raining. I made myself a salmon and peanut butter sandwich, while making it, it reminded me of Ezra, he hates it. I quickly made it to my phone to have a conversation with him since I'm feeling a bit lonely.

End of Chapter.
