*Hello. I'm really sorry I haven't been updating for a month and weeks. I just got caught up and got busy with school work and demotivation. Which I think will result to less frequent updates. Also, when I was making this chapter, my phone broke and it was in the repair shop all month. I think I'm gonna have to resort to using my computer for updates now. I'm sincerely sorry. This will also probably be a short and a bad chapter since I just want to publish an update for you all.*

Ezra's POV
Tuesday
10:34 am

Where's Maudie? I saw her going into the crowd to the hallway, but where is she now? I walked around the school searching for Maudie, then that warm, nervous feeling showed up again. I did a lot of thinking in class, and casted it off to platonic attraction. Well, I hope it is. This is really getting me in a mindless cobweb of distraughtness. But, right now I have to find Maudie, for lying lessons. This is feeling is really bugging me, I'm also quite hungry. Where is she?

10:36 a.m.

Heading near the pond was where I found Maudie.

I shouted, 'Maudie!'

Maudie's head turned towards me as I walked down a few steps of stairs, getting closer to her.

'Hi, Ezra, you seem to be in a rush,' She greeted.

'Yeah, I was looking for you, remember? The lying lessons?' I asked, a bit disappointed as I saw her eyes widen in realization.

'Oh, I'm so sorry, it must have slipped off my mind. We can start right now if you want to.' Maudie apologized, 'Where's your lunch?'

'I guess it must have slipped off my mind too,' I answered, 'And sure, we can start now.'

'So, you said you wanted excuses?' She asked, 'I guess we'll start with that then. What kind of excuses do you mean? Like rejecting something or someone?'

'Exactly.'

'Oh, do you want a bite of my salmon and peanut butter sandwich?'

'No.' I answered, confused.

'Okay. Well, when you're gonna be thinking of an excuse, you have to think fast. So, I recommend to think of something for situations that are likely to happen. Like, "Sorry, I have to babysit Poppy".' Maudie said.

Maudie's POV                                                                                                                                                                            10:40 a.m.

'Let's think of some more', I instructed, taking a bite out of my lunch.

'How about, "My parents will not let me go"?' Ezra suggested.

'Believable,' I responded, 'How about, "My parents and Poppy won't be home that day, and I have to watch our pets,"?'

'Sure.'

'I'm having a lot of fun with this,' I shared, taking another bit out of my lunch.

'Kyle and I are going to the skate park after school, would you like to come with us?'

End of Chapter.
