Ezra's POV

Tuesday
7:33 am

It's Tuesday. Me and Maudie are walking to 'South Bell High School', our school. We're in eleventh grade junior year. We cannot actually reach the school by foot, we have to use the bus. Although My parents and Maudie's dad can drive us, it wouldn't fit in their schedule. So, ever since the start of the school year, me and Maudie have been walking and taking the bus together to go to school. Well, we've always had, ever since she moved here, we've been going to school together. Poppy would go with us also, but she's sick with Influenza. Though, Kyle and Ava's parents still driv—

'Falcon, do you copy? You almost tripped and fell.' Maudie said out of the blue, startling me.

'Y-yeah, I'm fine. I just zoned out a bit.' I stuttered.

'Well, keep your eyes on the road; We're near the bus stop.' She informed me and I followed what she said. Overall the walk takes 10 minutes, while the bus takes 15 minutes. The bus arrives at 7:35 am. Our class starts at 8:30 am so we'll have some free time before class.

Plenty of time to do research. Because honestly, I think something is wrong with me. For some time now, I feel kind of panicky and nervous, then happy? I don't know if those are the right words, maybe it is kind of exaggerating it, but it has some similarity to what I'm feeling. And I'm sure these aren't mood swings. I don't know when this gonna happen. It just appears out of nowhere. Guess I'll have to do a lot of research on this.

7:36 am

By the time we got to the bus stop, the bus was already there, so we didn't have to wait. We boarded the bus and sat next to each other.

'According to my calculations, we will reach school by 7:51, and have 39 minutes of free time.' Maudie told me, looking at her watch.

'Oh, thanks.' I thanked her. 'By the way, this is totally random, but can you teach me on how to lie better during lunch time?'

'What for?' Maudie said, skeptical.

'I just need some good excuses, that's all.' I said.

'Why me? Ryan from our class had got away from events with his lies and excuses.' Maudie reasoned.

'He's bad influence. I mean, Ava, Pixie, and Amelia got in trouble once because they snitched on Ryan, but the teachers believed Ryan.' I explained.

'I guess I'll be teaching you "Lying Classes 101" later. She chuckled. 'Speaking of Ryan, what do you call something that is easy to get into, but hard do get out of?'

'Trouble?' I answered.

'How'd you know?' Maudie asked.

'I've heard it before from my uncle.' I told her.

'Well, what do you call a doctor who fixes websites?' She tried again.

'A Website Coordinator?' I answered.

'An URL-ologist! That's too literal, Ezra.' She corrected me.

Our conversation went all over the universe, until we reached our school. Stepping out of the bus, and into the school grounds.

Maudie's POV
7:51 am

'I guess my calculation was correct.' I pointed out.

'I guess so.' Ezra replied.

We were heading to the front entrance until Ezra fell down after he got hit on the head by a ball. I think I know who's coming...

'KYLE'

End of Chapter.
