I should pack my things up, I thought. Then I hurriedly went back to my room to get my bag on the rack of my door. I then went back downstairs rushing to the front door to get my raincoat and rainboots. Before stepping out the I made sure that I have everything I needed, and I did have everything.
8:13 am
I stepped out the door, closing and locking it with my keys, and headed to Ava's place.
The walk is not that long. It's also near Ezra's house so I am planning on going there after the tea party just for a quick visit. ¿
8:20 am
I was now at the front of Ava's house. I walked to the porch, and I pressed the door bell waiting for Ava to answer.
The door swung open and there she was.
'Maudie! Come on in, please take off your boots first, though.' Ava said as she was leading me inside.
'Hi Ava.' I muttered, whilst I was taking of my rainboots.
'Do you mind if we have the tea party in my room? I planned to just set up my beach umbrella outside, but the grass outside was wet, so will you be okay with that?' She said quite fast.
'Of course.' I told her.
'Really? I'm really sorry that we couldn't do the tea party outside. And that I keep informing you things on such short notice, will you forgive me?' She said.
'It's fine, also it is not like you can control the weather. Anyway, when will we be starting?' I remarked.
'Oh, yeah! follow me.' She said. I followed.
We then reached her bedroom which was very very organised, and I mean very. Even though I have been in her room before, I was always in shock seeing it. The furniture is always rearranged into different positions every time I go visit, and Ava told me before that: 'I'm always rearranging my room, it's just never enough!'
'Come on, I set up the table, food, and tea! I'm so excited!' She shouted.
'I think I am aware' I laughed. To be fair, I was also quite excited too.
8:26 am
To be honest, I don't really know much about tea parties, or ever been in one, like what do you do in tea parties, and the purpose of it. But, I would've disgusted myself if I said no to Ava's Invitation, so here I am.
'So... What do you want to do first?' Ava said.
'Well, what is there to do?' I asked. Ava froze.
'Seriously Maudie? Have you ever been in a tea party? On second thought, you probably haven't. Well then, I'll teach you on "Tea Party Etiquette 101".' She exclaimed. I just nodded on the third sentence.
'Okay, number one rule in a tea party is to have fun!' Ava cheerily said. As she went on with the rules she pulled out some posters and activity sheets (tea party edition) like:
