Xia Jieye's soul isn't a complete one like his uncle, Mo Baojun when he died. During his first death as a Sovereign God. An unknown entity as strong as the Origin had tried to take away his soul. The Origin didn't agree and the chaos caused his soul core to be separated from himself while the rest of the soul had entered reincarnation.

This reincarnation is the one called Ye Xiajie. He had no memories of himself as the God of Void and was born as someone from the hated Ye Gui Race. They still need to succumb to their life mission and this man's life mission is to assassinate the youngest descendant of the Mo Clan, Hei Anjing.

Even the God of Destruction, Hei Anjing failed to eliminate Ye Mo, this notorious leader of the Ye Gui race. In the end, Sovereignty God Mo personally came to pick up his nephew and was welcomed with the death of Ye Xiajie. When he heard that Hei Anjing had chosen the brat as his other half only then did he realize that Ye Xiajie is the reincarnation of the God of Void.
